I had a great time staying here. The hostel staff was extremely friendly and they always plan tours/activities so they make it very easy for you to experience the city. It is in a great location of BA, San Telmo. Not loud but within minutes of main attractions and nightlife. The hostel itself is nice. The room was simple and... More

Dorm with 4 people. Really great hostel with a cosy common room and a pool. The staff were great. Circus is located in San Telmo near everything. You wont regret your money in Circus. Don't hesitate to spend time in the common room because you can meet great people from all over the world.

I chose this hostel firstly for its colours & location! Clean & affordable hostel in the quaint suburb of San Telmo, rich in architecture, street art and culture, about 40 minute walk from down town B. Aires. Multilingual & very helpful staff. You can have a private room or dorm. Breakfast & dinner also available or you can step outside... More

For the price you pay this hostel is absolutely awesome. You can get a private room which feels like it belongs in a hotel for the price of a dorm bed in some other places. The beds are made daily and the bathroom cleaned while you're out. The breakfast buffet is pretty good - you have to pay a small... More

All perfect, we stayed in a 4 bed dorm and all was nice. The only small detail that you could take care of is the electric plug, i saw many in argentina that was modified to make them cool for eu plugs. Still you sold us an adaptor for a nice price so thats ok.

Really nice hostel with plenty to do socially for anyone staying including tango shows, bbqs, yoga amongst other things. Really appreciated how nice the staff where particularly Maria who was always keen to make conversation and ensure we were enjoying our stay. My only con for staying here is that the beds were quite comfortable but then again it was... More

We booked four nights but ended up staying five, we would have stayed longer had we had the time. The staff were great and really helpful with bus numbers, train stops and places to visit. There was an Olympic opening night BBQ when we arrived and payment by donation ( be generous as Mary works her socks off) Loads of... More

Despite a grubby, neglected toilet, and a roommate that snored like a heifer giving birth, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the staff very friendly. They helped us out track down some local culture over Independence Day weekend, and put us on to a well-kept secret about scoring early-bird rates at some top restaurants that don't advertise 40% off your... Definitely the best hostel in Buenos Aires and reasonably priced to boot. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and tastey. The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help you with any issue, advise you on fun activities and places to eat, provide coupons and deals, and host their own... More

Staying in San Telmo

Neighborhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
