Didn’t even have the basics working, the electricity was patchy, the water system stopped meaning we couldn’t wash ourselves and no air conditioning on a warm evening meant for a really poor nights sleep

Arrived there and it was exactly like the images on hostelworld.com. Always good that the photos are representative of the actual place. Would not have gotten any better deal for a private room for $20 a night. Would recommend to any traveller to Buenos Aires, as well as learning that San Telmo is a great place to explore! :)

Staff are friendly and speak Spanish and English. Happy to give you recommendations on local attractions and activities, and just have a chat generally. Not a bad location either, especially over weekends. Daily walking tours and other activities are also offered/organised by the crew here. My friend and I had a great stay, couldn't recommend highly enough.

I enjoyed my stay at Circus Hostel and Hotel. I had a room with ensuite on the second floor facing the courtyard. The room was quiet and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast as well. I did not use the swimming pool so cannot comment on it. The staff was always cheerful and ready to help. The only complaint I have is with the air conditioning. It is set at 24 and you cannot change it or change anything with the ac. It felt more like a "slow" fan than an air conditioner.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room overlooking the courtyard as I would think that they are quite.

Nice and prefssional team, very helpful and energetic. 'At home' feeling. Good and safe location in San Telmo. Very nice area, good basis for walks to many places. Wifi ok! We stayed here for the second time, service is consistent over time. Our room / floor had issues with electricity; the team was proactively working on a solution. Probably one of the rooms/customers had broken equipment giving issues.
