The rooms are small dorm like rooms. The front desk controls the switch to the aircon. They turn it OFF most of the time. I finally got so hot I walked down and told the front desk man and with one click he turned it on. This was so frustrating.

Clean and tidy. The hotel is right in the center of the city so everything was just minutes away from us. The staff is kind and the room was big and confortable. We were in our car so the free parking place was great. Breakfast was good.

The glory days of this Hotel are clearly over. The staff doesn't speak a lick of English and the service wasn't too great either. We had to complain 2 times because the water in our shower wasn't running. After they switched it on the water wouldn't stop running. We had to turn it on and off via the receptionist every... More

I stayed 2 nights, the hotel is clean but very expensive, the staff don't speak English and not very friendly, I feel like not welcoming. Poor WiFi in my room, you have to go near to the reception to get a good signal. The breakfast is bad, just lots of the sweet pastries.

A cheap alternative in the heart of the city, the Hotel Internacional does itself no favours on first impressions!!! Although the hotel is on the main drag it is reasonably quiet and at approx £44 per night (B&B) for a single traveller it represents good value. The rooms are basic but very clean and the shower is good. There are... More

Very conveniently located close to the main avenues and the subte and round the corner from san telmo. Very helpful service at all times from the staff. Rooms were fine for the price, if a little smoky. Breakfast is standard south american style. Wifi is available but its pretty much hit and miss in the rooms, though the connection is... More

Decent hotel with typical donut and cereal breakfast spread in the morning. Near the action in San Telmo. A great neighborhood. Close to Centro as well.

Our airline placed us in this hotel after we missed a flight connection, and they gave us a voucher for a free night there. Upon check-in the receptionist accepted the voucher and told us that he "just needs to swipe our credit card for incidentals." When we checked out, we were told that we are not responsible for any charges... More

Mr. Traveler1: Do not get me wrong. But we do not have any agreements with companies from the airport, but with no company to issue vouchers. if you've been scammed, not us. insist .. the error was not ours but his company travel or flight company. More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
