The hotel it is located in a perfect zone nearby restaurants and things of interest. We had problems with the ligt one day but at the check out the receptionist discounted one night of the total and that solved the issue. The breakfast was nice and the menu (omelet) was perfect cooked. Miguel helped us a lot finding different things...

I didn't get to stay here due to my booking not going through, but can't rate the welcome and help I got from Jose, at reception, highly enough. Thanks so much. Avoid using 7ideas, a company offering great rates on Trip Advisor - they're trouble.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and I can't fault it. The staff are so friendly and helped with recommendations and other bookings (buses, taxis, shows etc). The atmosphere is chilled, the San Telmo location is perfect (walkable to La Boca and Microcentro), the rooms are a decent size, breakfast is adequate, the hotel is really nicely...

Loved this place! It's a smaller type of hotel, so I feel it's more private and cozy than normal big hotels that you may be used to. It's somehow a combination between classic and modern design which I really liked. And the staff is super friendly and knowledgable, and they were ready to assist me with any doubts I had....

Hotel is well located and near Defensa. Facility looks old especially the door lock, which we find difficulty locking/unlocking. Heater in certain room was not working. Electric power tripped a few times during our stay. Bottled water is not provided and it cost 25 peso for a small bottle.

Stayed here for two nights in February. Our first visit to BA was made memorable by the friendly and helpful Miguel and Lauro. They gave us helpful hints on enjoying BA as a local which is why we travel. Rooms were clean & spacious, beds comfortable, breakfast adequate for us and it was quiet. Internet connection was good in the...

We recently stayed at this hotel for about 4 nights. Highly recommend it based on its location, value for money and the hotel manager, Lauro. If you've never been to the city the hotel provides a good base from which to explore the city on foot or by Subte. We also found it good value. The room is small but...

This is a small hotel in a good location (San Telmo). Close to restaurants, shops etc. The rooms are big enough and nicely decorated. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We requested a very early breakfast, which was no problem. The breakfast itself is simple: coffee, toast, yogurt and fruit. For us enough, for others maybe too little. The...

We stayed here for four nights and can't really fault the hotel or its staff. Having arrived in BA after a very long overnight bus we got to the hotel well before check in but the guy on reception was more than happy to let us have our room straight away so we could shower and change. From then on...

Staying in San Telmo

Neighborhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
