To get an inexpensive hostel with the breakfast included being fresh eggs, pastries, and maybe even alfajores was way better than I expected. It was also quiet (which is nice for a city), and the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. As far as hostels go it's awesome.

This hostel has to be one of the safest i have ever stayed in. They have multiple levels of security from the front door to your room door. Nice chill out spot of the roof where you can see the southern cross. Decent location, though its a few blocks to the nearest subway, however the staff is very helpful and... More

The hostel's location is quite good, near the 9 de Julio Avenue, a few blocks away. The reception, facilities and enviroment were pretty good to me as well. The only thing I didnt like much was the fact the bathrooms were located outside the rooms. Some peole may like it tho. The problem is I was there during the winter.... More

We stayed at Sabatico for a week and were very happy with our experience! Our room had air conditioning, which was a blessing since it was 34 degrees our first day there! Complete breakfast every morning, and the staff were very helpful. They were always available to answer our questions and call us cabs or give advice on safe/unsafe neighbourhoods.... More

Stayed for two nights. A great spot for exploring the city. Breakfast was plentiful, mattress was comfy, showers pretty clean and lovely and hot, very quiet at night, good advice about things to do on city, staff very helpful. We stayed in the five bed dorm with air con..... I'm not sure it was worth it as the air con... More

I stayed here for 6 weeks and it is a nice hostel. Everything is clean and spacious and there is big rooftop terrace. The kitchen is big and well equipped, the bathrooms are tiny, but clean. They offer a great breakfast buffet in the morning. The reception staff is very nice and helpful and the atmosphere is good; they make... More

Anika: Im really sorry that you felt that I put a lot of pressure on the staff. I don t see it that way. I think we get along pretty well. We dont charge for the use of lockers. We do charge for towels, but only for dorm beds. thanks for your comments. You ve been a great guest! More

We stayed three nights at Sabatico and really enjoyed our stay there. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the rooms are well designed with comfortable beds... we were in a 5 bed dorm. In terms of places to eat nearby - Gijno is a must! It's a lively place and the steak is just divine. The hostel is... More

I stayed here on two occasions in Buenos Aires. Best breakfast, hands down! You get two eggs, fresh orange juice, good coffee, and there is a special food or plate featured each morning! This hostel is definitely for anybody who appreciates conscientious employees, a clean environment and attention to detail. No reason not to give 5/5 stars! Would stay again... More

I cannot emphasise enough how much we enjoyed our stay at Sabatico. The staff are so helpful, I have to mention specifically Mercedes who helped us book tickets to a show (calling box office and ordering in Spanish for us) as well as helping us order bus tickets online, explaining what info the website was requesting. This is also the... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
