We've stayed here in our first couple of days in Argentina. Nice common area with a pool table. Good wifi, even upstairs. Friendly staff who helped us with directions and travel advice. Location is quite but fairly close to some attractions.

Good location (15' walking to the centre) and low price for BA. The dorm is spacious with big lockers for everyone. Enough bathrooms and showers (good water-pressure and hot water) provided. Breakfast is on the basic side but ok. Staff is helpful and friendly. Wifi rather on the slow side, but stable. A/C in the dorm works on and off....

I stayed with the crew at Hostel Arrabal from Oct 17-30. I had some time while waiting for my travel companion to meet me. From the start, Sara was very welcoming and Nacho was excellent during the night shift. By the end of my stay I felt like everyone working there was my friend :) Will most likely stay again...

I stayed there two different times, both about a week each. Its a really nice hostel with a pretty central location in Buenos Aires, low-key and quieter. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They worked with me short notice to stay an extra couple of nights. I highly recommend it!

If you are into socialising and partying until 2am in the morning this hostel is for you. Between the noise inside the hostel and the street noise from outside the hostel we were lucky to get a snooze despite having a room at the very top level. The breakfast was OK but really nothing to rave about. Wifi only works...

The day receptionist here was the best receptionist I've met on this trip. He went out of his way to help with evening activities, travel directions and generally everything. He made the stay here. Another plus was aircon in the room at night which was great for the buenos aires summer. It got very loud at night (music turned up...

This hostel is located in a very accessible area close to markets and the metro! The staff were always helpful. During the week it wasn't so social but this picked up on the weekend. Overall we enjoyed our stay here!

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
