Been coming to blue star for a few years now and simply love this gem of a family run hotel. The family are super lovely and will always make sure any needs are catered for. It's in a wonderful location just off the strip and a 5 min walk to the main beach. Rooms are tastefully furnished and modern also cleaned everyday ..... fresh towels daily and Small bottles of water are complimentary and replenished daily. Breakfast is included and plentiful with cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit , preserves ,bread (toaster) , cake and biscuits. Cold meats, cheeses, olives and salad. Hot choices differ daily with omelettes and eggs cooked to order. You also have the option to pay for a full English. There restaurant offers lunch and evening meals to hotel guests and outsiders, the menu has a great choice of meals with the food being plentiful and of a fantastic quality. The bar has a good choice of beer, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks and milkshakes. There is also a pool table, table tennis and a lovely pool. Many people including myself return year after year, this is testament to well run hotel.

We are frequent guests at this hotel which is an absolute gem. We are always made welcome and always feel totally at home. Begum, Melike and all of their staff are amazing and can’t do enough to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms are kept beautifully clean, if you need anything extra like pillows, blanket etc, you only need to ask and it’s available for you. There are many returning guest which is an absolute compliment to the hotel, our family joint us for the final 10 days of our holiday, they were made so very welcome.
For anyone who says there is a lack of Sun loungers, you only have to ask, they will make sure you have one. Breakfast is good with an assortment of cold meats, salad, fruit, omelettes and lovely fresh bread.
Thank you all for the best stay, we look forward to seeing you all again next year. XXX

Booked through Jet 2 and paid extra for a Deluxe double room( see picture) room looked nothing like this. Room 201 can only be described as small with a balcony view of opposite building. Spoke to blonde lady on reception who was not at all helpful and told me that if I wished to move I would have to pay extra!!!! Jet 2 eventually got us moved.. Cleaning staff, gentleman who maintains ground, pool & other areas and some of the restaurant staff Excellent 👏👏. Pool is starting to look tired & is in need of some TLC. Stairs down to pool toilets are dangerous and need anti slip strips. No courtesy room for late flights asked if we could keep room from 12pm till 6.30pm too be told we could move to another room but cost would be approx £142.00. Breakfast is OK.. limited fresh fruit, only Oranges, apples & watermelon, juice is from a machine and is watery and cheap even staff stated that it's awful. 1st week no towel wars 2nd week a lot of long standing returning guests and you struggled to get a bed.
Situation is great everything on your doorstep we will definitely go back to Oludeniz!!!! Would only consider Blue Star for accommodation if certain things were changed.

Have stayed at a lot of hotels over the years and this by far is the best. A small beautiful family run hotel with everything you could possibly ask for. When I booked I went for the deluxe room as it included fridge, air conditioning and safe. Newly refurbished it did not disappoint it was a fine size with a fantastic balcony looking over the pool. The bathroom has raindrop shower plus power shower and fresh towels every day. The cleaning lady a lovely pleasant girl came every day leaving 2 bottles of complimentary water (a lovely little touch I have to add for staying at the hotel) We stayed for 10 days and our room was kept immaculate clean so please leave the cleaner's a well deserved tip should you decide to stay. We stayed in room 306 a nice quiet room at night you could hear music in the bathroom from the bar behind but not loud enough to bother us and it stops at 1pm anyway the beds are so comfortable we were well asleep before this🤣. The pool and restaurant are also spotless clean nice soft music playing and so relaxing. The reception and restaurant is very well run by fantastic staff excellent at theirjob they are so friendly, pleasant and funny special shout out for Dasha and Sucira and the breakfast staff. The breakfast was yummy plenty of choices from fruit, breads, cheeses, salads and omelettes etc.The bar is fantastic cool and chilled day and night and the drinks are very reasonable priced.I have to recommend you eat an evening meal in the hotel we ate here around 6 times during or stay the service, food and prices are amazing. Would I stay again? In a heartbeat thank you all at HOTEL BLUE STAR for such an amazing holiday ❤ I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We were very pleased. Based on some of the comments, I wanted to take the time to comment. It is already clearly stated that there is no parking and we cannot put the burden of not being able to find a parking space on the hotel. The friends at the restaurant immediately informed us when there was an empty seat and we parked our car. They could have said it doesn't concern us. The food is already very satisfying and the price is more affordable than most places on the beach. The hotel has billiards and table tennis. We always played during the day. There were no such events in the other hotels I looked at. The friends at the reception also helped us with activities to do. I think the hotel deserves full stars, but the sea in Ölüdeniz is a bit wavy and not suitable for children. You can choose Kumburnu.

Another fantastic stay at Blue Star. As always no complaints. The rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean. The cleaners come in every day and leave bottles of water and fresh towels. The pool is a nice size and always clean and the pool area is cleaned every evening when the pool is closed. Breakfast is good with a great variety. The restaurant also has a good menu with lots to choose from for an evening meal. The bar is well stocked with beers, spirits and cocktails. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Already planning a return visit.

Most of what i had to say was covered by (Yvonne B wrote a review 23 Jun ) and i agree with all she has said

I will add that the manager does have to look at the also to address the selfish people who put towels on sunbeds at 6am and either go back to bed or decide to go out for the day, a notice around the pool may help stating the towels will be removed.

Now the positives. the hotel was clean and the staff were great and we had a great holiday. the rooms were spacious and we had a walk in shower. they also had a kettle and a fridge and supply two bottles of water a day free. air con and safe are included in the price of your booking.

if you have not been to Tukey for a while the prices have gone up by 70%

If you go to the main strip its 200 lira for a large bottle of efes, cider was 260 lira a bottle, english breakfast is about £9 there are bars off the strip that are cheaper.

I have been going to Turkey for the last 20 years and the price increases have certainly made an impact on the main bars, the ones we went to in the afternoon only had a few people in.

i hope this review does not put you off going to Turkey its still a beautiful place to holiday.

I would certainly return to this hotel but with a few tweaks it could be a lot better.

Hope this review helps

Terrible experience! Please , before read this, check out all my other reviews of properties I travelled ..you will see that I am very easy to please , I have travelled a lot and I normally write good reviews because I recognize how difficult is to please a traveler and because I normally make good choices . Not this time ! After driving about 5 hours we arrived at blue star at about 7 pm . The room received was not very good but what really upset us is that the room was dirty and the toilet not cleaned at all and disgusting . I ask to change the room and the rude lady at the reception ( a blonde woman who I understand is the front desk manager ) told us that to move to another room the only option was to pay . I told her that considering the disgusting toilet we found I was expecting a gesture of good will such as a discount on the supplement she was asking me . She denied. I told her that I was going to call my agency and write on social media like trip advisor the kind of welcome they gave us … when she heard this she went nuts .. completely out of her mind and she started screaming to us and told us to go away that she did not want us there . It is truth i should not have threaten her to write on socials but you should have seen the toilet of the room she gave us . I offered and apology for my tone but no way.. she literally threw us on the street telling us she didn’t want our money at all ( liar because she charged one night anyway ) . I was able to find a last minute solution to a beautiful place not far and not sleep in the street but this experience left us speechless and angry ( I have credit cards and it is easy for me to surf the web and find options but immagine of this happens to a senior or to someone on a budget who cannot afford to arrange an alternative ) … I later discovered that this woman often behave this way so it is surprising they let her work there . I had to fight quite a lot with my agency to receive a full refund which I eventually got it but really it is incredible how easy was for Blue star hotel to throw us on the street just because I threatened her to call my agency and write to trip advisor .. a normal travel industry professional who work as front desk manager should have given us an apology and offered us a better room for free because they made the mistake of giving us a dirty room . Anyway … stay away from this place there are many other properties run in a professional and friendly way all around .

Response from Melike Ünsal, İşletme Sahibi at Blue Star Hotel
Responded Jun 11, 2024
Hello, first of all, I am writing as someone who experienced the incident completely. When you came to the hotel, you said that the toilet in the room was dirty and we apologized and took immediate action to have it cleaned. Also, if you have photos of the toilet that you think is dirty, please share it. You said this wasn't enough we should give you another room and give you a discount for this bad experience. These were unacceptable offers. We do our best to ensure the happiness of all our guests, but your offers were not well-intentioned. You threatened us by saying that if we did not give you a discount, you would leave bad comments about the hotel everywhere. This approach is not correct at all. We said that if you are going to act like this, you can cancel your reservation, you do not have to stay in this hotel. So you went to another hotel with all your belongings. For reservations made through an agency, no hotel has the right to cancel the reservation and deny the customer access to the hotel unless the person cancels it himself. Since you did not stay, all your money was refunded to you. We have all the evidence for this. As a result, everything developed this way as a result of your reactions and actions. I hope you had a pleasant time at the other hotel. Thank you.

Excellent hotel which made me and my two kids feel welcome all of our stay. The food and drink was great and cheaper than a lot of other places in oludeniz for the quality. Bloody Mary was a winner 🏆
The staff, however, we're the stars of the show. The restaurant, pool and bar staff were excellent, fim, friendly and attentive and made firm friends of my kids even teaching him Turkish phrases and words which he loved. Can't recommend the blue star enough.

After eating in the hotel restaurant a week prior, we decide to stay at the blue star for a 11night stay and could not have been happier with my stay.

Upon arrival, my room was upgraded. The hotel seems to have undergone in very recent times, an extensive refurb which has been meticulously executed.

The staff, from the cleaners, to the bar/restaurant staff to the garners were/are absolutely fantastic.

Not a single person I spoke with had anything negative to say about their Blue Star experience.

Do not hesitate in booking this hotel, it will not disappoint.
