Detailed Reviews
The friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. (And I`ve been in lots!)
Robbie, Simon and Eric are the best hosts you could wish for.
Their attitude seems to rub off on the guests because everyone is happy and having a good time.
If you need anything at the hotel. Or if you need recommendations or information about restaurants, shops or places to go in the area they do everything they can to help. They organised taxis and booked restaurants for us no problem. And everything is done with a smile.
Service at the hotel is outstanding.
The basic rooms at Yalcin are pretty basic but very good value (Although you might want to consider upgrading). Decent air con. Rooms are fairly small but very clean. Also, maid service every day with clean towels.
We had a room at the front with a good sized balcony perfect for people watching.
Two pools. The one at the front near the bar is livelier. Ideal for kids.
Plenty of comfortable loungers so no need to get up at dawn to get one. Again, everything is very clean.
There`s a pool at the back beside the Villas. Larger and quieter. There are loungers reserved for the Villa guests but we managed to get two with fabulous views of Mount Babadag.
Food: Breakfast is Turkish style-fruit, eggs, bread, potatoes (great tea and coffee) but you can order from a menu at a small cost.
Dinner is very reasonably priced, as are drinks, with a large menu choice and excellent quality. (Lovely steak!)
Again, great service. It`s worth eating there just to meet Simon.
Entertainment: Can`t comment because it was quiet because of COVID. Although everyone who had been before (and there was lots of them) said the Turkish night was brilliant.
The hotel is in a perfect location and is only a 5 minute walk from both main parts of the town.
Could go on and on but I think that the fact my wife and I are going back next year says it all.
Thanks for a great holiday

Just returned from our 2 week stay at the Yalcin Hotel August 9th 2020, myself, husband 2 daughters 17 & 22, of course we were worried as it was during the covid pandemic, but we shouldn't have been. Upon arrival our private transfer sprayed our cases, shoes and hands with sanitiser before we got in. We arrived early hours and was greeted by Robbie and some of his team. They greeted us took our tempereture and all were wearing their face masks. We were offered a drink in the bar while our cases were taken to our apartment. This place is always very accommodating and friendly. The staff cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. If there is a drink you would like(my husband asked for Guinness) and its not there, you can guarantee it will be in the fridge the next day! Rooms are always clean and all staff work extremely hard no matter what time of day/night. Entertainment is made all the better when the staff join in, must make a special mention to Yasin, Vulcan, Simon, and of course the main man Robbie, who keeps the whole place running smoothly, Eric is always around and on hand should you need him. The whole team, including the maintenance and security team, always acknowledge the guests in and around the Hotel. Yes we are returning customers (7 yrs), when a place is this good and you are treated like family, why wouldn't you keep coming back. Turkey is one of the most beautiful places we have been, they even managed to get me to the top of Babadağ mountain! Robbie and his team gave us lost of local advice on where to eat and best places to visit. We will continue to keep going back to "our home in Turkey"

Visited from the 3rd September - 17th September.
This was our first visit to The Yalcin and can see why people return year after year. We arrived 1am in the morning and Robbie looked after us straight away and kindly made us a sandwich. While we ate this and enjoyed an Efes a fridge was put in our room (Extra charge)
It's a small friendly hotel, we stayed bed and breakfast in a room with a balcony over looking the new Villa's and a lovely view of Babadag. Breakfast is Turkish which we enjoyed but you can order an English Breakfast if you wish (extra charge). We had lunch everyday in the restaurant by the pool, very reasonable prices and lots of choice, we also ate a few times in the evening and had the Chateaubriand one evening which was amazing thanks to Chef and Chef Robbie Ridvan Sarican. All the staff will bend over backwards to make this the best holiday, thanks to Robbie, Simon and Freddy on the bar and all the staff. Due to the pandemic there were a lot of restrictions on the entertainment in the hotel but we did enjoy a quiz and bingo, we will have to come back as I have heard Robbie puts on great entertainment and sadly there could be no Turkish Night due to the restrictions. Looking forward to returning to the Yalcin, hopefully next year all being well.

This was a nice place for the people, who came back year after year, it seems to meet up. Like home from home. They were also saying that the entertainment needed changing as it was repetitive. The BBQ night for £15 each for very nice and a Turkish folk dance and acrobats after. Good value for money. Our room was not to scratch in the bathroom. It had obviously flooded and the door was peeling back .and the wood swollen. The shower tray did not hold the water and constantly run all over the floor. The balcony and patio set was comfortable enough. The cost of the air conditioning was £50 per week and went off when the key was taken out of the slot. So we thought very expensive. Could only really use it in bed. The fridge was £15 per week in the room and that did not work a lot of the time the first week, but we were not offered any sort of refund. The pool was nice, but the steps getting in were was too steep. A major problem for older people. They need to be re done. The people and service staff were very nice and friendly and did their best to service you. The meals were not very good in the hotel, Stay well clear of the prawn cocktail!! We enjoyed the location of Hisaronu and the area and cable cars and mountains are brilliant. We went up and watched the para gliders in the restaurant at the top. Good food and reasonable too.
Palm trees restaurant in town that does the chicken meals is thoroughly recommended. Big portions and a good Restaurants in town expensive now.

We arrived around 2.30 am , and escorted to our room by the night security man, who brought us up a bottle of water as well., didn't officially check in, until after breakfast next morning. Which was a bonus because we were shattered.
Hotel is a 2*+ on tui site, but we found everything to our satisfaction and more.
Rooms were basic, but clean, you had to leave your key in reception if you wanted your room cleaning, which we thought was a good idea if you booked direct with the hotel, a/c, fridge and safe were included, but if you booked with tui you had to pay for it extra, no big deal as was reasonably priced.
Pool area, we never had an issue with sunbeds, whatever time we wanted to sit around the pool, the pool was constantly checked and clean and sometimes even had it to yourself when swimming.
Location was great, a couple of minutes walk to the strip and some wonderful bars and restaurants just off the strip.Only noise we heard was sometimes from the bar behind us and the chickens and Cockerells behind us, and sometimes a couple of dogs barking, oh and the mosque ( none of this bothered us)
Food at breakfast was the same everyday and is probably the one area possibly that could be improved on,just a little more variety would have been nice, but you can pay extra for pretty much anything you wanted. Now as for the food at lunch and dinner, all I can say it was as good as anything we ate out, the chefs are a real credit , and the food was superb and again reasonably priced.
Now the best thing about the hotel, THE STAFF, every single one of them are amazing, Robbie runs the show and will do anything for you as long as you approach in the right way, his wife Alex, Ismet, yessi, James , the young lads name that for some reason I can't think of and not forgetting Rùya all absolutely amazing at there jobs and a credit to the hotel, you all made our holiday one of the best we've ever had.
Would I return, yes, booked for next year as soon as we got back and we can see why people return year after year. Wonderful place

Visited last year, end of August. Been Hisaronu most years and this has been the best hotel to date. Robbie has the place running to a tee! Our room was clean, tidy, comfy. Pool always had enough sunbeds, even when we’d tramp down at 1pm, hungover. “Cake time” is the best time ever, cakes are incredible; food in general is excellent as well!
All staff are very welcoming and I’ve read that people feel “it’s a bit cliquy”, disagree! There was “regulars” there, but actually very friendly as well. A Welsh family actually bought us a couple drinks.
Robbie and the staff will bend over backwards to help in any way they can and put on some awesome entertainment each night, we found ourselves actually going back to the hotel in the evening and enjoying their entertainment more than on the strip.
Can not recommend this hotel more.
(We were first time visitors last year, already booked to return again in July this year.)

That great we are on our third year return. Staff work so hard and will make you feel like their home is your home. Staff become friends! This hotel are always upgrading and recently the rooms that have been upgraded are modern and homely. Pool is always clean and welcoming. The food is something else and Robbie works extremely hard to make nights like ‘Turkish Nights’ a huge success. Can’t wait to go back this coming August 2020.

Just got home from the Yalcin Hotel and have to say I enjoyed it.
Very good value for money and the staff are very friendly with everyone, and nice and clean.
I have stayed in many hotels around Hisaronu and the Yalcin is one of the best especially in its price category.
They have enough sun loungers for everyone and 2 swimming pools, the breakfast is typical Turkish eggs, bread/toast, melon, tomato and cucumber but all tasted good.
The onsite restaurant is nice, and an excellent selection of drinks at the bar.
The location is great for accessibility into Hisaronu town centre, they also try to put on a few shows/entertainment at night which were a good laugh.
All in all we have already booked to go back next year, which is the first time we have ever returned to the same hotel, so I think that speaks for it self.

We have been visiting Turkey for several years now and can honestly say...
The yalcin is our very favourite, the staff, food, rooms, everyone dose more than they have to to make your holiday memorable. The facilities are brilliant.. lots of different room types etc.. we have eaten everyday here!! That's a first for us in anywhere we have ever stayed..
Robbie the hotel manger is a lovely guy, Eric the owner and ever member of staff work hard!! They will help when ever they can! Entertainment is on in the evenings ( depends on season to how regular) from Turkish nights, bingo, quizz, karaoke etc..
The rooms are decent recently upgraded certain ones. The villas are fab. ( Booked for next yr)
Central for shops, bars restaurants not noisy area.
Food is really nice , Turkish breakfast self service but you can order from the menu and pay extra.
There are lots of sunbeds and parasols. Separate pool for villas..
We can certainly recommend and we thoroughly understand why guests return regular.
If you book via TUI, certain things are at a supplement, but booking direct included.. (fridges, Aircon) plus if you book direct your transfers are included.
Great hotel, fab staff and excellent all round holiday 😁😄

We did our research before booking. This is a family (not a conventional one) run business. Erik (Owner) and Robbie (Manager) have worked together for over 20 years. All the staff work hard to ensure you have a great stay. While there we participated in the ‘Hotel boat trip’, Turkish night, live music nights, cash bingo, cash prize Quiz, Pool competition, and so on. There are Spa treatments available where they collect and drop off from hotel. Obviously, depending on time of year it all might not be available but efforts are made so you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to 😂You are literally a 5 minute walk from everything in town but the hotel is quiet. But the best bit for me and my mum was to hear the stories of the families and friends that have stayed with the hotel over the years. Many visiting every year for the last 10 years or more. Hearing how the hotel continues to try to improve whilst still being familiar to all. Because of people visiting many times there are lots of recommendation for Restaurants. We tried ‘Hi5’, ‘DelBoyz’, ‘Izzys’, ‘The Palm Tree’ does an amazing Lamb Kleftiko, ‘Abrahkababra’ does a lovely T-bone Steak, and so many more we tried. Also we learnt that not everyone around the pool was staying at the hotel, and it is accepted custom that you can just rock up at any hotel in the area. Not sure if that will continue as the Hisaronu area is getting much bigger with new buildings. Definitely would go back, we both felt very safe.
