Had a delightful two weeks at the Yalcin recently and would like to say that I agree about the bias shown by the staff to returning guests. It appeared to us that the only time we were approached was to inform us about offers in the restaurant etc. We did share in their 30th anniversary celebrations and this is where the bias shone through, both in terms of recognition and table planning, so much so that most of the returning guests had finished their buffet meal before we were even invited to get our starters. Our room was perfect and Nuray, our cleaner, did a wonderful job. We only used the pool area on a couple of occasions as we prefer the beach. We never used the restaurant in the evenings so I can’t comment on the food. I did however have a “full english” on a couple of occasions and each time it was good. I’d like to mention Izmet? and Rosie who looked after the breakfast servings each day, they do an excellent job. Robbie and Eric manage a wonderful hotel, however they, and their colleagues, need to appreciate everyone who stays there equally, and not just those who return year after year. Despite this minor misgiving we would have no hesitation in returning ourselves, thanks for a relaxing holiday.

Hi WelshTyke, At first of all thank you for taking your time to leave a review for us. We are happy to hear you have enjoyed your stay with us. I would like to clarify that we do behave equally to all our guests. As everyone knows our 30th anniversay party is a complimantary night that we put on to say thank you to all our guests. If we didn't behave equally then we would only have invited our repeat guests! But we did invited everyone to join us. About the food; there were about 140 people on the night. So we serve the starters to everyone first. Once everyone has finished their starters then we serve the main courses. We do this by calling the tables individually to make it more enjoyable for everyone so we can keep refreshing the buffet. Also we do pay attention to the seating plan; because some people doesn't smoke and some people puts requests about seating with their friends etc. So to make it enjoyable night for everyone, we do a seating plan for our every guests so everyone can see the entertainment better and enjoy it better. And as you have said on your review you have only stayed for breakfast and didn't stay around the pool much and didn't used our restaurant for meals etc. And this doesn't give a chance for my staff to get to know you. If you did give them a chance, I have no doubt you would have been suprised with everyone of them. They will do anything to make sure you enjoy your holiday. I would like to say a big thank you to all our guests and the upcoming guests for choosing the Yalcin for your holidays. We know how hard everyone saves to come on holidays. Me and my staff will always make sure you all have a great holiday with us Regards Erkan Tümen

2 week stay booked through tui , due to all the amazing reviews. However as much as we enjoyed our stay we would unlikely return. The hotel in great and in a good quieter part . Pool was very cold which most guests were complaining about . Room was great overlooking pool no 11 nice balcony and great view , yet the bathroom needed updating , hairdryer wasn’t secure on wall , shower water came out so fast it hurt .you . Bed was comfy but dirty stains all round bottom mattress which wasn’t nice and got insect bites a lot within room . Cleaners would come everyday if wanted and they did a good job thanks ladies . Food was good at lunch we ate out in evenings . Breakfast was good to . Staff ...... this hotel attracts returning visitors generally over 50-60 yr olds who have been coming 5-15 years plus ,,, The staff therefore fuss over there returning guests , saying good morning stopping for a chat ect. If your new to the hotel the staff are not as friendly and the divide is obvious. That said in our 2 Nd week Robbie started to make a good effort with us which was welcomed .. yet other staff didn’t. All in all a great holiday , but staff need to be mindful of how they need to make equal efforts to new customers ,which in reading previous reviews has been mentioned before .

This was our 4th time to this hotel but it had been 3 years since I last visited. After trying some other hotels around the village we decided to return having enjoyed my time before. I do still love this hotel, the pool area, the food and the location however some aspects disappointed me this time around. I felt the beds were very uncomfortable. Having been in the same room before we wondered if the drains would still smell which after a day we began to notice again and although we hadn't noticed it before and this isn't necessarily a hotel issue, we had neighbours from hell and with very thin walls and doors we were woken on a number of occasions due to the racket in the corridor. I would visit this hotel again but would probably not book it through Tui as when talking to one of the hotel staff it sounds like they only get a limited amount of rooms to choose from.

We arrived at the Yalcin Hotel on Tuesday the 10th and as we got off the coach we were greeted by one of the staff members who carried our cases to our rooms. On arrival they offered to get us food and drink at 2am. The rooms were clean and tidy and a good size. All staff are very pleasant and would do anything for you and made us feel so welcome. Robbie couldn’t do enough for you and took the time to engage in a conversation with you. Ayhan (the bar man) was so lovely and was great to talk to and made us feel at home. He was always laughing and smiling. The food was amazing and we will definitely be returning next year. ~ The McNamaras
