First of all i would like to agree with all the comments regarding the Gonul hotel , clean, perfect location but hard beds but you do get used to them!. Swimming pool spotless, no problem getting a sunbed.Bayram who runs the hotel with the 2 lads are brilliant and i will hopefully be booking for next year.I would like to mention... More

We have been coming to the gonul hotel for 7 years now and we love it! The hotel staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and faultless. The hotel rooms are very clean and hygienic as well as the pool area and bar area, plus, there was no problem in getting any sunbeds or parasols. The rooms although fairly basic have everything... After staying at the Gonul many times previously and returning for a number of years, I can safetly say this year didnt dissapoint. Unlike many other surrounding hotels, the Gonul is somewhere that stays peaceful, welcoming and immaculate, year after year. The rooms are all of a considerable size, with beautiful views overlooking the mountains. Although basic, the rooms are... More

We have just got back from Turkey and stayed at the Gonul .Whilst we we could not fault the hotel for it's cleanliness ,the pool and the friendlyness of the hotel staff I did have issues I did find the bed to be hard and uncomfortable. We took part in the barbecue night which cost £12.00 on the second nightof... More

the majority of our holidays are spent in 5* all inclusive , so we were a little hesitant about a 2* 16 room guest house. Firstly it's in a superb location away from the noise but near enough to walk into ovacik and hisaronu, a dolmus to the beach is abot 3mins . The scenery is stunning and there also... More

All we read about on Tripadvisor is correct, its an absolute gem. However, speaking to Byram the owner, it would appear that the British holiday makers get such a good price because the Turkish government supplement the owners in order to encourage British visitors in early and late season. July and August are reserved for the Turkish visitors and thay... More

I read all the reviews before I booked, and so my expectations were very high. I was not disappointed. As a solo traveller, I am used to being given the smallest room in the hotel. I arrived at the Gonul at 3.30a.m. to be greeted by Byram the Manager. Another single lady had also just arrived, and I feared the... More

Having found the hotel on Trip Adviser, it seemed to good to be true. Having arrived late at night, we were welcomed by Atakhan & Ahmet. With the power of Google translate (their English is basic but improving all the time!) we managed to move from our double room to a twin. The rooms are basic, but spotless and have... More

Had some holiday to use up and decided a trip to Turkey was just what I needed....and I wasnt disappointed. Having searched for a nice destination, Olu Deniz, I found the Gonul Hotel which had great reviews and was very well priced. Although in Ovacik its an easy place to base yourself and travel to the surrounding towns of Olu... More

As with most flights to Turkey we arrived at The Gonul Hotel late at night, the reception was closed up (but think it was because it was a bit early in the season, the reception seemed to be open when we left). We headed to the Bar area where we were met by Bayrum and his nephew, who welcomed us... More
