We were there for 11 nights it was our replacement honeymoon after thomas cook crash. When we arrived we thought luxury which after 5 days tried into nightmare. The room first given to us was lovely double and single bed, loads of storage, TV, mini bar with soft drinks and beer, bathroom with shower over bath and they supplied loads of little extras like razor kit, toothbrushes and paste, and the usual bits. Rooms - 4410, lovely view of mountains and sea and the balcony had afternoon sunshine. Room consists of double and single bed, TV, mini bar with soft drinks, water and beer. Bathroom with shower over bath, hairdryer which was not great. The bathroom had everything needed razor kit, toothbrushes for each person, soap and all the usual bath stuff. Loads of storage space. Safe was free too. Air con not working as 'it was winter' so we slept with balcony door open. As it was our replacement honeymoon they left us wine, chocolates and a heart shaped cake and the bed had swan shaped towels and flower petals stunning. Spa - lovely 2 steam rooms, turkish bath, hamman, 2 saunas, gym and lovely pool which I usually had to myself at 9am for my 20 laps. The hotel reception and lobby area was clean and lovely, bar cocktails very strong. The restaurant (the al la carte were all closed but you were expected to pay 15 euros each so not all inclusive). Certain areas were closed like pasta bar and pizza bar, ice cream area closed. There was a football team and chess conference and the food was ok then but after these people left it all changed. The chess conference had 2 people that fought in the restaurant and throw glasses in the restaurant. So after they left the restaurant went down to a quarter there was little choice and the food was normally Luke warm. The last few days I had either soup or bread/butter. It was a shame cos I had seen what they had done before. On the monday we had a call asking us to move rooms we were offered one but balcony sunshine not good so we said no. So we were offered a sea view suite they wanted us to move out where we were. We moved the suite was nice a king size upstairs bedroom en suite. Downstairs room double bed and single bed and bathroom like our original room. We were surprised. Tuesday night I noticed all the sunbeds around the only opened part of pool where being cleaned away so next day beautiful sunshine nowhere to sit. Went down to do my usual 20 laps in spa pool only to find it closed (no swimming laps for me then!). The staff were lovely and it was horrid to see them leave one by one. A waitress that was lovely was delik. The guest relations girl was fab we complained there was no tea making facilities in room she made it happen. She did everything in her power to make our stay pleasant My advice for this hotel if it's not summer season dont bother its not worth the disappointment. So to start fantastic first 5 days all you could wish for last 5 days absolutely disgusting. If you are going to close and move the guests somewhere else where they will be looked after probably!!!!

Dear EastbourneNaomi, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. We were here at the beginning of August. As soon as we landed in the reception we know we'd arrived somewhere very special! We were looked after from that moment. Food was amazing every night outside on the feature set there was always plenty of new dishes. We have a fussy 14 year old and by the time we came home he'd put on nearly 2 stone!! The hotel itself was beautiful, so rich and opulent! Our family room was brilliant 2 completely separate rooms with a porch connecting them. Cleaned every day to a high standard. The whole place was spotless! The pool was breathtaking and never crowded! This hotel is massive but we never felt that is was busy! No queues anywhere. The staff in the white shirts where another level! Brilliant! service was so friendly it was outstanding. Drinks were great good choice of cocktails and branded spirits! The entertainment team were fab! Something different on every day and night! Our boys loved spending time with them playing uno, water polo, football the list was endless! The beach was so clean and the getty was so calm and peaceful if you wanted a day away from the pool. All I can say is thank you so much spice hotel for the best holiday we have ever had!! We will be back again that I can promise!!

The rooms were ok, a lot of work in them is required to make them better. The food was very poor never hot and not a lot of choice. The so called other restaurants were an extra 15euro per person if you wanted to use them (that was when they were open.) There was no animation team and so no entertainment, unless you call the piano player everynight in the bar entertainment. The spa and indoor pool were closed because there were not a lot of people staying at the hotel. There was only one pool that could be used outside (the others were emptied out for maintenance. There was no air con in the rooms, which were around 30 degrees, so we had to sleep with the balcony door open. When we asked about it we were told its only put on in the summer months. The staff were all very friendly, I think they felt sorry for us holiday makers.

Just left the hotel a few hours ago, travelled with friends to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Before the visit was a bit skeptical because of some of the negative reviews on tripadvisor but to be honest my experience was exactly the opposite. The hotel is very clean and this includes the lobby area, lifts and guest rooms, however room service people did not put a bath mat in my room for the rest of all my stay, it was only in the 1st day I checked in , I ended up using one of the towels as the bath mat. Also did not replenish the box tissues, besides that they cleaned the room well. Majority of staff are amazing and are always there to offer fantastic customer care. Food in the buffet restaurant is plenty, fresh tasty and well presented, serving stations are kept clean, only one negative thing I noticed in the buffet restaurant on one of the far tables towards the other end of the restaurant by the windows, there is a big hole in the ceiling and water drips from there, that area shouldn’t have tables until it’s fixed and there is no wet sign anywhere not good for heath and safety plus hygiene. Anyway kudos to all the waiting team in the buffet restaurant, all are just so attentive, and when I say all I really mean all, and will put down the names of those who served me and gave excellent customer service, Gulnura, Lira, Burak, Rahmi, and Cemal who went above and beyond in providing the best service ever, Cemal bravo you are very professional and very dedicated customer service provider. Special mention goes to Frank, the Bell Boy, he is very polite, professional and passionate about his job, well done Frank, Anil with the animation team is a keeper, forever smiling and making customers feel special and very professional as well, keep up the good work young man. Lobby bar Kalnura was very good, fantastic customer care, Ayhan F&B gentleman is very engaging and welcoming, always trying to engage with customers, KG is very engaging and welcoming and knows a lot of staff about the hotel and very eager to share positive information about the hotel, because of your recommendation will definitely be back and this time will try the villas, thanks for the info. Enjoyed the Sahlep drink a lot and Turkish tea, however the mocktails were always too watery, not the best maybe try to put more syrup. Ozge guest relations, thank you for going out of your way in trying to assist with the internet problem, you are very accommodating and patient. Deniz thanks for organising the massage booking and to top it all Emre is just superb, master at what he does, Turkish bath and massage were super duper, well done to Emre, very professional. The tea and chocolate after my message was just beautiful, unfortunately ddnt get the name of the lady who brought the tea. all the experience during and after massage was just out of this world. In short I highly recommend the Spice Hotel & Spa, I definitely will be back.
