Miguel at reception was a wee bit flustered with machines not quite working, but he's a kind host, and his mum's - or was it auntie's - eye for quirky design with a sense of humour makes it a pleasure to stay here: a feelgood factor. Bed comfy. Good internet, with pc in the laidback lounge. What is striking is...

But, alas, I can not. Unavoidable Passive Cigarette Smoking is what you get here. Although I asked while checking in, and I was told that smoking was only allowed out on the patio - not so. Smoking is allowed while just standing in any dorm door/window to the outside. Consequently, as the breeze is mostly coming in to a room;...

Hello RickPaquette! First of all we want to thank you for staying with us and say we are very sorry that your experience hasn't been 5 stars. We only allow people to smoke in the patio so you should have told us that someone was doing it in the room! It is forbidden in the Hostel but also by the...

What I was most impressed with by this hostel was the staff. Everyone of them was friendly, smiling, polite, and very helpful with information about the town, and providing all that I needed. Keep up the exceptional service! Spacious clean dorm-accommodation, each comfortable bunk bed has big duvets and pillows, sheets, light and power point, also lockers with keys. Pleasant...

Staff here were super friendly and helpful. Place is nice. It has everything you'd expect from a decent hostel. Social area was quite cute, but maybe small if hostel was full in summer - we were there in winter and there was only one other person staying in the whole place, so hard to tell. Well equipped kitchen. It was...

One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Being welcomed by owner Sonya and hearing why and how she started the place. She's very involved and really gets the hostel business. Wish I could have stayed longer than just two nights.

Whilst walking the Camino Portuguese in 2014 four of us stayed at the Hostel 2300 Thomar. This Hostel is centrally located, newly refurbished and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and the accommodation is very comfortable, with plenty of room in the dormitory styled rooms. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. I would highly recommend it,...
