No complaints. The staff were all very sweet, the room was large and clean, WiFi worked, decent breakfast, great location. Nothing super special about the place, but I'd stay here again. A had a bike and they let me store it in a back room where one of the housekeeping staff was polishing a copper "pot" about as big as...

We were the only ones when we visited in mid May and the hotel is located right in the centre opposite the main cathedral and tourism office. The interiors are rich and classy, each piece of furniture exquisite and rooms are big and airy with windows opening to expansive views. The breakfast is superb, we were personally attended to and...

We had never heard of Castelo de Vide but when booking a holiday we saw the hotel described in a brochure and decided to visit. We are so pleased we did - the village is lovely and the house, right in the centre, is a delight. It is full of interesting old furniture and ornaments, and has lots of sitting...

I agree with the reviews posted by others. This place is lovely, situated in the town center the architecture and furnishings are exquisite. However the hotel does seem to be empty of guests and staff. The external door closed and uninviting. The owner must be stretched too thin between businesses and the very sweet, Portuguese speaking only, house keeper seems...

We only stayed for one night but this property is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail was just perfect. There's not a lot to do in this small village but we were glad we made the stop. My only complaint is that it was cash only. Luckily, I had just enough to cover the room.

This hotel is a gem. The town is very nice a has a lot to offer. We found the staff at Casa Amarela to be fantastic. They go above and beyond in making us feel at home for the 5 days we were there. I highly recommend it and would go back eagerly.

Castelo de Vide probably doesn't get a lot of tourist's but it's a wonderful place to stop over for a day/evening. In this sleepy castel village with it's proud locals, Casa Amarela got it all down to a 5 Star B & B in. The rooms are splendid and the bathrooms are the size of most hotel rooms. Every detail...

Having read positive reviews, I reserved by email (100 € for one night, quite high for Portugal). This reservation was confirmed by the hotel. When we arrived, at 5:30, we found the address without difficulty, right in the town centre. But the door was closed! No sign of life, not even a message displayed. Half an hour later we rang...
