Still after the elusive grand jackpot. Staying in city of dreams Hyatt regency was the most comfortable 4 days I’ve spent in any hotel across this vast globe. The staff were bursting to assist with any whim, at times ‘‘twas as if they had predictive pre-programming, instantaneously suggesting my requests mere moments before the words left my mouth! Ghastly! Out on the casino floor, the Filipino people are all very friendly and sociable, I made a couple of scallywag friends in no time, by my side ‘till the end they were. God bless them. And god bless Hyatt regency city of dreams Manila! Good day!

We’ve stayed at several Hyatt resorts, and this is hands-down the best. There are no fancy pools, or outdoor activities. But the club level is amazing, and the corresponding level of service is 5-star. The variety and food quality is great, and the best I have experienced at any Hyatt. Hyatt properties in the states could learn from this property. The two nice ladies who work the club level were also amazing (wish I could recall their names). They even made sure we had a nice to-go breakfast for an early flight. The pool area is nice, but runs on the smaller side. The attached casino makes fun entertainment (nice drinks) and decent food court. The bus to the Mall of Asia is free (don’t walk). Family of 4 stayed 3 nights. Can’t wait to return.

I recently had the experience of staying at the Hyatt Regency, City of Dreams, Manila, Philippines. The Hyatt is located on Manila Bay where many casinos are located. The Nobu Hotel can be accessed from the Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt runs a courtesy shuttle to the Mall of Asia which is worth a visit. When I stay at a hotel certain factors, as listed below, play a major role in what rating I assign. Although consideration is given to country specific intangibles, local circumstances, and the stage of development of the country the hotel is in, I try to use standard measures to develop an objective estimation of the rating. • Ease of check in process and attitude of personnel • Are all items fully operational and functioning properly? • Functionality and ease of use of room climate control • WIFI speed • Quality of room service food • Cleanliness of room • Comfort of mattress and pillows The check in process was relatively slow taking almost 10 minutes for a reservation confirmed and paid for in advance. This may not seem like an unduly long check in but if you have 3 customers in front of you it would be a half hour wait – fortunately there was no one in front of me. The front desk person who did the check in was very knowledgeable, courteous and fast working; the process was slow just due to the procedures he had to go through. There was very little personal interaction during check in. The check in area is small with constant traffic. Many other hotels I stay at have a very short and more amicable check in procedure or a staff member accompanies me to my room and checks me in while showing the room. The room had nice amenities, but the temperature control was erratic at best and the thermostat was complicated to use. Sometimes the thermostat worked and sometimes it didn’t. Room temperature was very slow to respond to changes made on the thermostat. There were an ample number of drawers for storage but the two drawers beneath the coffee table and the six drawers under the mirror were incredible hard to open. The drawers had no handles and only a very small space to put your fingers in to open them. I needed two hands to open the drawers which I rate as poor quality in both design and construction. By contrast, the two drawers on each side of the bed were easy to open. The TV remote control is typically is a germ magnet due to all the spaces between the buttons which are almost impossible to clean properly. The TV remote in the room appeared dirty and the back had a textured vulcanized surface that felt sticky and looked filthy. A better selection would have been a smooth plastic back to allow for proper cleaning. The lighting in the room, bathroom, and hallway was relatively dim due to the use of low wattage florescent bulbs and there was no lamp on the desk. The WIFI was excellent throughout the room and entire hotel. The room had ample counter space and the linen and towels were of good quality. Both the bed and the pillows were very comfortable with the sheets changed daily upon telephone request to housekeeping. The room had a large comfortable desk and chair. The room safe was located in an easy to access location and had plenty of room, easily fitting in a full-size laptop with room to spare. The room had numerous and convenient electrical outlets. The personnel throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and responsive. Room service calls were very promptly responded to. The bathroom was large, exceptionally clean, had ample amenities, a large shower, and bathtub, and the water flow was excellent. The hotel has a fitness center with a good selection of equipment, great staff, and not crowded - every time I went there no one else was using the facility. The pool and surrounding area were very well appointed, not crowded, and very clean with attentive and courteous staff. The food and buffet at the Hyatt restaurant were very good but a little pricey in my opinion. If you are on a budget or love Jollibee’s like I do, exit the hotel from the side entrance, turn right and Jollibee’s is a short walk located on Diosdado Macapagal Blvd. The Hyatt had some shortcomings but also many strong points as detailed above. All things considered I would definitely stay there again based on the overall atmosphere, facilities, and quality of service.

Good and practical hotel. Breakfast choice was really good. But lobby was too small as too many people entering the casino. Other facilities has to be shared e.g. swimming pool and also quite far to walk

The rooms are big and well appointed but the service was lacking. Only 1 lifeguard in the pool. People swimming in denim shorts, saw a little girl swimming in a dress. Kids eating in the pool. Made me think twice if the pool was really clean. I pulled my daughter out and we left.
