Pros - very well run, staff outstanding, on the beach, large bungalows, great food including their own produce, nice pool, great views. Cons - not really a swimming beach nor can you go on the sand with a towel and lie there (Virgin beach is nearby via cab and is very nice), can be windy as its positioned at the end corner of Candidasa under a hill (noting it attracts a lot of paragliders which adds to the views), and it is a 10 min walk to the street via lanes but there are a couple warungs and shops along the way for beer water etc.

I was visiting Puri Bagus Candidasa during organised trip to Bali. Breakfast was very good at the restaurant with a beatufill view. I received villa situated close to the Indian Ocean with open air shower. Pool was clean. Very good and quick contact with the hotel. Problem with hot water resolved immediately. All Staff very nice and helpfull.

Pura Bagus Candidasa was our last resort on a 2 week trip to Bali and was a great 6 night experience. The resort itself was elegant in a retro Bali manner. The main reception housed to morning resturant buffet on the second level and offered an excellent view of the grounds and ocean. We stayed in an ocean view villa that was roomy, clean and nice bathroom with tub and good pressure shower and hot water. There was also a special greeting for our 40th Anniversary celebration on arrival. Dining was an elevated open air venue with great service and tasty options for all. Especially loved the spring rolls, sweet chili chicken and best Tomatoe Basil soup I've had in long while. The staff were always attentive to needs, and could barely allowed to carry anything by myself! There were also multiple nice covered lounges fronting the beach/ocean that offered peaceful relaxation. Of note, the Orca dive center is on site and will be writing a separate review of this great operation. We would personally like to thank Mr. Krisna Putra for his lovely resort and will definitly return should we make it back to Bali! Thank you!…

Set in a beautiful, beach front location. Comfortable, clean bungalows and grounds. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. Breakfast selection covered all tastes, poolside lunches tasty and varied. The most delightful and friendly staff by far. This area retains a charm, it hasn't been trashed by careless travellers, a real sense of community still exists unlike some other areas of Bali.

Just returned from a recent weeks stay at this resort in Candi Dasa. Was such a wonderful experience. Very clean resort. Excellent daily breakfasts, and the staff are probably the most friendly and helpful you'll hope to meet anywhere. A truly stunning part of Bali to visit. Very attentice staff, nice location and good breakfast! Be sure to get a Massage and take a short Trip by Boat. 😊 The Pool is very nice and clean, the Restaurant had a broad selexfion available for affordable prices and the view while eating is very serene!

we didn't sleep here but felt we should mention this A family member of ours stayed in this beautiful hotel and had her birthday on August 24, 2023. We emailed the hotel with a request if it was possible to surprise her And they did great job. a beautiful cake and she was serenaded by the staff she was completely surprised Great that the hotel picked up on this request so wonderfully 5 stars to the staff

Our 1st time here,recommend this peaceful, clean, happy place on the beach, very comfortable large room with a outdoor shower, under the stars is special. For us it was a relaxing time surrounded by beautiful gardens and Balinese bungalows . Loved my massage in beautiful Spa, which was great price, food was yummy, ALL the staff helpful and friendly. Puri Bagus is simply the best place I have ever stayed on my many trips to Indonesia Quiet and clean the staff’s hospitality and kindness were amazing They did everything they could to make out stay perfect and to make us feel special The breakfast was delicious Beautiful setting for dinner Deepest cleanest pool with the option of swimming out front in the clear blue ocean The rooms are very spacious comfy beds a/c was great The grounds were perfect We will be back Thankyou puri bagus for making our honeymoon special

We just had a one night stay here and loved it. The room was massive and tastefully decorated and very clean. We always love an outdoor bathroom. The grounds are impeccable and we liked the Balinese style with the villas. The pool was lovely - we managed a late afternoon swim, with a poolside drink. Breakfast was very good, nice buffet but no bacon available, in case anyone was wondering. I recommend and would definitely stay again and use the onsite dive school, which were very helpful when we spoke to them.
