Wonderful small friendly hotel. I stayed at Hotel Genggong for a week by myself & had a great time. The beachfront location is truly great, I loved to watch the fishing boats return in the mornings & the beach is safe for swimming, enjoyed a few swims. The hotel has lovely open grass lawns & a great pool, large enough for laps. I had a ground floor room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The room was very clean and comfortable. A good breakfast selection & super friendly staff who greeted me by name. There is a lot to like about Hotel Genggong

What’s not to love about this lovely little hotel! We had a 3 night stay and absolutely loved our room and the view was just so spectacular. Not one piece of traditional hard Balinese furniture to break your toes on or cut off your circulation! All furniture very comfortable in the room and around the complex. Breakfast is a la cart and the wellness bowl delicious. Papaya and banana smoothie for breakfast the best. We had dinner twice at hotel and it did not disappoint. There is plenty to do in Candi Dasa and this hotel offers a very level of service and amenities at a very reasonable price. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I wish I had booked a longer stay and most definitely will next time we go to Bali.

This is such a wonderful place to stay in Candidasa. It's a smallish family owned property with a stunning outlook to the sea. The view from our room was stunning. It felt like being in a timeless Bali a world away from the traffic soaked tourist areas. Room was super comfortable and the breakfast and food at the restaurant was excellent. I had a fantastic fish dish for lunch. Property is just a short walk to the main drag. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous hotel in Candidasa. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Always smiling and always accommodating. The room was 5*. Took our breath away (see the video). We were on the second floor. Only stairs but really an elevator would have been overkill. Breakfast lovely, lots of variety. Dinner - very nice. Location was perfection. Surrounded by spa’s, warongs, a beach to snorkel in and 5 mins from the ‘busy’ part of town. The ‘noise’ was purely the sound of the ocean and waves. Magical to go to sleep too. Just one suggestion. The pool was too warm - swimming in a hot bath in the afternoon. Could place a sunshade over some of the pool? Thank you for the wonderful stay - we will come back.

I have to concur with other reviews. The surprise is at the end of the long driveway. Many thanks to Aldo & his wonderful staff for our enjoyable stay. Our room was perfect & the view from the wall to wall window (& door to our balcony) of palm trees, sea & the islands in the distance. We did not need to close the curtains at night. Breakfast & the more than adequate choices from the menu, the banana pancakes (4) Wow!. We can't wait to return.

A traditional Balinese theme is what greets you and stays with you at this perfectly located beachfront hotel. Aldo the owner adds that special element to each guests stay by ensuring he greets chats and engages with every guest and our conversations were so informative interesting humorous - thank you so much. A delight to meet Francesca the owner and her son - delightful people. Komung front desk reception - his communications commenced as soon as I booked last year and continued tell check out. No matter what I requested, needed it was dealt with in a very professional manner. Room 32 Deluxe top floor of main building - spacious comfortable the balcony the view and to make my nights entertaining after exhaustion of swimming snorkelling every day I was able to finish VIRGIN RIVER Netflix!!!! The availability and accessibitlity to snorkelling / diving at the front of the hotel or catch a fishermans boat to the outer islands - incredible. Ashi Lestari Kadek - the gorgeous Balinese staff and Ayu the chefs who I could not resist showing them my empty bowls and dishes after consuming yummy dinners - everything was easy no hassles no stress - I just chilled!!!! Bernados who always was ready to assist me especially ordering transport to my family who were staying elsewhere in Candi Dasa. The 2 hour massage with Martine - "I WENT TO HEAVEN AND STAYED THERE FOR THE WHOLE 2 HOURS"!!!!!!! The hotel is small sized not a resort style environs and because of the true Balinese character I enjoyed every calm serene moment . Spent 10 days at Hotel Gengong. The location was ideal, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street with a lovely beach view. Rooms are spacious. The staff were lovely particularly the restaurant staff. Breakfast was good, highly recommend the breakfast bowl. Lunch also good, ate by the pool a number of days. Dinner was okay but there were better options. Good value, recommend.

Myself and my husband stayed at this little gem along with another couple and were totally blown away by the beauty and the natural simplicity of the resort. Genggong is tucked away, has total beachfront access and the views are spectacular. The management & staff are so friendly, helpful & caring. The food is amazing, the rooms huge, clean and comfortable. The view from our room at night was surreal with the lights from Nusa Lombongan and Penida shimmering in the distance. Everything about the hotel is fantastic including the location, the staff, the pool, access to the beach for snorkeling. The manager Aldo adds the extra personal touch you only get from a small well run hotel. We have already rebooked for next year
