Welcome to Pondok Bambu Candidasa dive resort, bar and seaside restaurant. renovated to a higher standard since beginning 2016. Pondok Bambu is a beautiful and comfortable dive resort located in the centre of Candidasa, Bali, Indonesia. Only one and a half hours drive from the International Airport Ngurah Rai. Surrounded by nature and tropical gardens, Pondok Bambu dive resort features rooms with balconies overlooking the gardens or the sea. The dive resort offers free private parking. Our facilities include our Bambu Divers dive center, restaurant, swimming pool, bar and 24 hour front desk service. Our swimming pool has two parts, shallow for kids and a depth of 2 meters for adults, where you can spend time to swim, relax and sunbathe on the sun beds. Or just go down the steps to the beach and lounge in the sea, or sunbathe on the beach. Our restaurant, with a view of the beach, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of options ranging from Asian to Western food, and with a special Dutch snack menu. The bar provides a place to relax while enjoying a drink and also enjoy the beauty of the sky at sunset. Pondok Bambu also offers you diving with Bambu Divers providing a special experience and unforgettable moments. Take a few dives, or take a PADI Open Water certification course; all of this can be arranged. From our dive resort you can explore the surroundings of Candidasa. You may want to visit Tenganan (a Bali Aga village, where Balinese live according to ancient traditions), visit any of the many temples and palaces in the area, join a ceremony, go trekking in the hills, and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful rice fields. Great Staff super friendly, nice rooms direct at the ocean, a great resort for scuba diving A+ . Candidasa is away from the hustle and bustle of Denpasar, great scuba location’s nearby. Plenty of choice fir good food right across the street at Crazy Cangeroo.

Amazing place to stay. Great view and lovely people. They also have a diving school which was an AMAZING experience. We swam with manta and saw gorgeous coral. Candidasa was nice stay for us much more relaxed then the other parts of bali. Booked a stay for next year already❤️

We returned to Candidasa this year after 3 1/2 years away due to “you know what”. Our go-to place was Pondok Bambu so we decided to stay there again. A great boutique hotel in the middle of town with ocean front views, large rooms, beautiful pool, great breakfast. A little oasis that is easy to miss but certainly worth a try. We’ve already booked our return visit next year.

Pondok Bambu Diving Resort in Candidasa is a dream come true. It felt like stepping into a movie with its picturesque architecture, beautiful green surroundings, and the beach right in front, breathtaking! The rooms are spacious, the diving facilities top-notch, and the staff exceptionally warm and welcoming. Delicious food, both local and international, adds to the charm. Highly recommended for a magical getaway. Can't wait for my next visit! 😍

Pondok Bambu is a lovely hotel set right on the beach in Candidasa. Whilst very casual it is extremely good value for money. It is located only a 5 minute walk from the Lotus Lagoon and directly opposite the popular Crazy Kangaroo bar and restaurant (owned by the same owner). The rooms are very nice and very quiet, beds a little hard but pillows amazing. The bathroom is huge with plenty of hot water. Very well air conditioned and a fridge in the room, it has all you need. Set amongst butterfly filled gardens it is a lovely setting. A set menu Breakfast is served overlooking the water and the neighbouring islands in a beachside / pool side locale. The quality of the food, breakfast and lunch is excellent as it is a similar menu to Crazy Kangaroo. The beach is coral filled and can maybe be swam in but looks good for snorkelling, with turtles swimming up to the shore at night. Anyhow great value and I would thoroughly recommend. …

Fantastic place beautiful with many trees and shrubs, great location sea views and small pool. Beach access staff are lovely food is really good. A lovely lady called Kermang came round and did the best massage.

Everything about Pondok Bambu is great. Location, rooms, staff, pool, restaurant/bar, outlook over the ocean. The only thing the staff didn’t tell us was that if you ate across the street at the Crazy Kangaroo you would receive 10% discount on your food which is good to know as the restaurant does not serve dinner. We ate at the Crazy Kangaroo twice however only got our discount once when the staff saw us crossing the road. Will definitely return.

Pondok Bambu was very comfortable. Staff beautiful and friendly. Job very well done. Restaurant with lovely food and drink right on the water front. Quite a way out of Denpasar but was picked up a5 the airport and delivered safely!! I was doing a Wacky Jacky Quilt Tour and this was our accomadation. Jacky’s Quilt shop is right across the road which was just ideal for our purpose.

Just back after our 4th stay at Pondok Bambu and it definitely didn't disappoint. rooms are nice and big and clean, staff ever so friendly and the pool is to die for all overlooking great ocean views. We will definitely be back again next year.

Been several times to this hotel in Candidasa. Every time had a great stay. The rooms are very nice and complete, house keeping is excellent, crew is very friendly and will help you with everything. Breakfast is bulky, whatever you want. When you want something and it isn't there, they will try their up-most to have it arranged the next day. Restaurant is overlooking the ocean. In-house dive company (English language is outstanding), which are famous about their dive locations. For me Pondok Bambu divers are the number one in the area. Local knowledge is very good and they will help you plan your days, only if you want them to. They know the special places in the area and also other area's. Beautiful garden, peaceful environment, quiet. It is in a central location of the city on walking distances of other restaurants, warungs, banks, etc One thing I didn't like at one of the earlier bookings: I found out it was fully booked and had to look for a different hotel(which was also good, but not as Pondok Bambu). People are going home after the holiday and immediately book(while they are still in the hotel) the holiday for the next year. Looking forward to our next stay.…
