Pondok Bambu is a beautiful and comfortable dive resort located in the centre of Candidasa, Bali, Indonesia. Only one and a half hours drive from the International Airport Ngurah Rai. Surrounded by nature and tropical gardens, Pondok Bambu dive resort features rooms with balconies overlooking the gardens or the sea. The dive resort offers free private parking. Our facilities include our Bambu Divers dive center, restaurant, swimming pool, bar and 24 hour front desk service. Our swimming pool has two parts, shallow for kids and a depth of 2 meters for adults, where you can spend time to swim, relax and sunbathe on the sun beds. Or just go down the steps to the beach and lounge in the sea, or sunbathe on the beach. Our restaurant, with a view of the beach, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner with a variety of options ranging from Asian to Western food, and with a special Dutch snack menu. The bar provides a place to relax while enjoying a drink and also enjoy the beauty of the sky at sunset. Pondok Bambu also offers you diving with Bambu Divers providing a special experience and unforgettable moments. Take a few dives, or take a PADI Open Water certification course; all of this can be arranged. From our dive resort you can explore the surroundings of Candidasa. You may want to visit Tenganan (a Bali Aga village, where Balinese live according to ancient traditions), visit any of the many temples and palaces in the area, join a ceremony, go trekking in the hills, and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful rice fields. Always enjoy Pondok Bambu, a small-scale tropical resort with bungalows that are very neatly maintained. Excellent staff, good value for money and spacious facilities. My husband and I have been here 9 times during our Bali trips and enjoy it every time!

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food! We enjoyed our holiday at Pondok and would definitely recommend it to others. There is a diving school and opposite the pondok there is a restaurant from the same owner, where you can also eat very well.

Pondok Bambu is a lovely hotel set right on the beach in Candidasa. Whilst very casual it is extremely good value for money. It is located only a 5 minute walk from the Lotus Lagoon and directly opposite the popular Crazy Kangaroo bar and restaurant (owned by the same owner). The rooms are very nice and very quiet, beds a little hard but pillows amazing. The bathroom is huge with plenty of hot water. Very well air conditioned and a fridge in the room, it has all you need. Set amongst butterfly filled gardens it is a lovely setting. A set menu Breakfast is served overlooking the water and the neighbouring islands in a beachside / pool side locale. The quality of the food, breakfast and lunch is excellent as it is a similar menu to Crazy Kangaroo. The beach is coral filled and can maybe be swam in but looks good for snorkelling, with turtles swimming up to the shore at night. Anyhow great value and I would thoroughly recommend.

Pondok Bambu Diving Resort in Candidasa is a dream come true. It felt like stepping into a movie with its picturesque architecture, beautiful green surroundings, and the beach right in front, breathtaking! The rooms are spacious, the diving facilities top-notch, and the staff exceptionally warm and welcoming. Delicious food, both local and international, adds to the charm. Highly recommended for a magical getaway. Can't wait for my next visit! 😍

Had a great stay! Amazing view. Lovely, pleasant staff who are always cheerful, neat and happy. The swimming pool is a really wonderful place to completely relax. Candidasa is really a very beautiful Balinese town, highly recommended to visit 😁🙏🏻

Lovely quiet hotel with a sea view. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. With swimming pool and sufficient moorings. You can also undergo a massage. There are always masseuses available. This hotel also has a diving school where you can start as a beginner.

Lovely quiet hotel on the water, Dutch owners and friendly staff. We will definitely go back again, even though we have already been there 3 times. The area offers various restaurants, bars and shops.

We returned to Candidasa this year after 3 1/2 years away due to “you know what”.
Our go-to place was Pondok Bambu so we decided to stay there again.
A great boutique hotel in the middle of town with ocean front views, large rooms, beautiful pool, great breakfast. A little oasis that is easy to miss but certainly worth a try. We’ve already booked our return visit next year.

Lovely cottages (especially the sea view) friendly staff and top food! Also the bar/restaurant crazy Kangaroo (same Owner) is super! Nice band and good food. We would have liked to have stayed longer. Something went wrong with our Reservation and this is super neatly fixed!

In general shuttle bus to and from airport is a seperate business and easy to arrange, it helps to share the money around. Plenty of scope from the airport too. We arranged our transport to and from with a contractor. To and from restaurants are uselly provided free. And drivers to hire for day trips are available everywhere.
There are more places to choose from in the Candidasa area.
