We have stayed at Summerwood every year for the last five years so you can guess that we love the property. However this year, having booked back in June and asked for a particular room(8), we were allocated the smallest room in the hotel (5), not big enough for the two of us and our luggage. When we complained we...

This is a beautiful guest house, with a lovely pool and grounds The breakfast was wonderful both in content and presentation. It's not in the central area of the town , so it is helpful to have a car when booking there.

Can only reiterate what others have written. Great place and so peaceful. Great room, wonderful gardens and a brilliant breakfast. Highly recommended. ( la di da di da, la di da di da, la di da di da) Why do tripadvisor insist on 200 chars you can say wonderful in a few words.

After 10 minutes at the Summerwood Guest House, I really felt like home. The staff is extraordinary friendly and the house, as well as the surroundings, are terrific! Not far from the shopping area, but in a quiet area. At night, I would always find a little surprise at my door, which the staff left for me.... it couldn't be...

Stayed here for one night on way through to Cape Town. Rodney was extremely welcoming and helpful in recommending a place to eat. Great facilities both in room and around guest house including a lovely swimming pool area which we used in the afternoon. Great breakfast, would stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights after a few days in Cape Town, the moment we drove through the electric gates we were treated with a smile, instantly took back by the class and set up of the place. We got shown around and introcuded to the honesty bar (which is a great touch) then shown the room which was a...

The Pros: nice location if you like a bike ride or a long walk from the centre of town. The layout of the guesthouse was very charming, with a beautiful garden, pool and breakfast area. Attentive management and staff - Rodney was a gem - cycling us into town on the first night and making us a beautiful early morning...

If fairies existed this is where they would live! The gardens are so beautiful, pool is lovely and a perfect size. Beach towels provided. Upon check in they handed me a key to my lovely bicycle which I utilized to get to the city in 5 minutes. The breakfast, oh my, the most lovely presentation. Rodney made us afternoon cocktails...
