We were staying in the old stables (I think the only accomodation) at Muratie wine estate. Although there are burglar bars all around, one had to have all windows open to get some fresh air. No aircon and only the living room had two ceiling...More

After a lovely wine tasting we stayed the night in the guesthouse on the estate. Stunning accomodation with a historical interior. Very friendly staff, amazing experience. Bit pricey but totally worth it.

They have been making wine here since 1699 & this family run vineyard is steeped in history. The wine tasting room has loads of photographs of family members & antiques. Really enjoyed the wines & bought a couple of bottles of delicious pudding wine.
