Placed in a very centrally located room. Event taking place nearby with very loud music. Asked to be moved to another room, no dice. Had to wait until the event ended in order to go to sleep, even though I wanted to sleep earlier. Music was so loud I couldn’t read or watch TV. Unacceptable.
The Wigwam is a favorite. Familiar and comfortable and truly unique. The staff is made up of people who clearly understand that they are in the hospitality business and make the stay a pleasure. Comfortable, spacious rooms spread over beautifully landscaped grounds are a welcome change from high rise resorts, no elevators necessary. For business functions or vacation The Wigwam delivers a first rate experience
Wife and I stayed a weekend here in early March. Beautiful grounds. Our room was massive. Bathroom was huge with a great shower. Super comfortable bed. Quiet, peaceful setting. Had breakfast at Red Allen’s which was great. Pretty neat pools. There was an art and wine festival going on in the streets outside the resort which was a nice bonus. Overall pleased with our stay.
This resort is quaint and lovely. The room was spacious and quiet with a large bathroom. Food was delicious with many healthy options. Pool and restaurant facilities were very nice and well maintained. I'd definitely return!
This is a good resort location without being fussy or over the top. The rooms are spacious but there is some maintenance needed on the exterior door and patio wood. There are basic amenities. The conference area is right sized for our 300 people. The food was outstanding and the food staff were courteous and efficient. The facilities for tennis and golf look well maintained as did the pool areas.
Wonderful Lobby, reception area and library. The reception staff were helpful and pleasant. The grounds are lovely. The pool is nice but not restful. There isn't any staff at the poolside. Kids were jumping in and out of the hot tub and people were eating fried food while soaking in the hot tub, dropping crumbs into the water. The outdoor furniture both in the pool area and on the patios is a little worn. Our casita was spacious and functional, the beds were comfortable. Only was club chair, the furnishing are going to be up-dated, apparently over the next few months. The food was average the service was average.
I’m baffled by the 5 star reviews here. This very expensive resort has peeling paint and wifi less than 1 megabit per second. The shower head came off and I had to screw it back on. I just don’t get it. I hear they are doing a renovation, but they sure let it get bad for a long time. Food is very good, pool is nice, tennis courts are super, grounds are terrific. I guess as long as you ignore the actual room, it’s great.
We stayed when the weather was rather cool and wet so didn’t get to use the pool however there was a lot to do. Fitness room was well equipped and their Spa was fabulous. Only downfall was their WiFi service was forever cutting up and was very frustrating (hence 4/5 stars). The staff was always friendly and very efficient. Very comfortable beds. Very clean grounds.
The rooms are in serious need of update. A notice was posted in our suite that refurbish is coming in the spring. Really nice property, good location, suite extremely large. The pools are also in need of update but despite the condition the resort was awesome and we would definitely stay there again. Housekeeping attentive. Front desk service is excellent.
The resort and grounds are very nice. Unfortunately, the rooms don't live up to expectations and price. Although the layout of the resort takes a day or so to learn, it truly is beautiful. The tennis courts and golf courses are really nice, and the pool areas are perfect for relaxation. The rooms, unfortunately, don't look like they have been updated since the 90's. Oversized, unusable space, with dated carpet, décor, and furniture. They are badly in need of a long overdue renovation. Overall, the stay was pleasant. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant on site (which there is not much close by offsite) was really good. I would stay here again, despite the rooms.
