We had a great vacation here. We especially loved the waitresses and bar tenders at the Wigwam bar, the adult pool, and the grounds of the resort. It really is a beautiful place and there is a brewery and a couple additional restaurants just across the street if you want to venture away, but the resort has more than enough to offer!
The Wigwam is a favorite. Familiar and comfortable and truly unique. The staff is made up of people who clearly understand that they are in the hospitality business and make the stay a pleasure. Comfortable, spacious rooms spread over beautifully landscaped grounds are a welcome change from high rise resorts, no elevators necessary. For business functions or vacation The Wigwam delivers a first rate experience
I was in attendance with about 200 Djs for a conference. This can be difficult with a large group of people looking to drink and have a good time. But it went smooth in my opinion. The entire staff that i interacted with was amazing. In a time where basic courtesy is rare in this world, everyone was smiling and truly happy to be there. The resort itself is well worth it the price. The amenities. I never left the property. Food, Drinks, i felt compelled to spend more with the resort to support their business. Although the area is not much of a tourist city. The resort is one to simply get away from the craziness of day to day life and enjoy it. I look forward to returning for another stay
Super great resort but the spa Lemonds is not the worth the money. The pool is always dirty and never clean. The showers are really dirty too, Lockers are broken and you would be lucky to even get a clean towel there. It’s like the “Walmart of Spa’s” and you will be disappointed. Just make sure your shots are up to date as this place has become a Petrie dish!
This was a 21st anniversary trip. We had a 2 queen bed room. The room was nice but old. Both beds sagged in the middle very bad. When I would lye down, the middle sagged bad enough that my feet were above my head. I am a side sleeper, however I was not able to there. When I attempted to roll to my side, it would bow my body too much and caused my back to hurt. I was forced to lie on my back and wake up in pain. Nice resort, awful beds and no sleep.
We went to visit our son and found this great resort. Great pools and service. We definitely will go back. The gym and spa were centrally located to all rooms. There are many stores and restaurants near by.
The room was very clean and the air conditioner very cold. I got here early before my conference and used the spa facility and the room service/food delivery. The 80-minute massage was very good and relaxing. The room service was fast, and the food was very good. Red's was great for lunch or dinner, and the breakfast was impressive. Finally, lunch at Litchfield's was remarkable. All-in-all, I was pleasantly surprised about how good the food was on the hotel campus... sometimes it's a trade-off eating on site, but not in this case!
My husband and I went to the Wigwam for his 75th birthday. We've eaten at Litchfields many times, so wanted to have a chance to eat there again and then walk to a room. The not so good started when we got there - waiting on vallet parking was a joke. We saw someone sitting over a ways looking at a phone on a golfcart in the shade. It was hot, I don't blame him for being in the shade - but we stood there for several minutes (5) before I tarted walking up there, and then he came towards us. Then - we got our room Over $300 - and the room, while big, wasn't made to relax. It had a bed, a desk and chair, a bench at the foot of the bed. Where are you supposed to sit? We wanted to sit and have a glass of wine. Then...the neighbors turned the music up blaring. I called the front desk, they said they'd send security. Maybe they did, maybe not...they turned the music down, then blared it again. So - we went to the front desk and told them we were very unhappy. And while I guess it was ok treatment, felt non caring to me. The gal just said, well let's get you out of here. She refunded the card. No thank you, sorry, anything. So, needless to say, we did not eat at Litchfields. We usually eat there every Christmas, every year for mom's birthday, and at least once a year another time. Don't know that we'll be back.…
My family and I love it here at Wigwam , we have stayed here on different occasions , love the ambiance, we love the history that takes place ! The hotel rooms are so relaxing , love the pool area , music is always a plus !
I attended a business conference at the Wigwam, not knowing anything about it in advance. I was extremely impressed with the unique architecture, the sense of history, the amenities and the unfailingly courteous and helpful staff. Overall, I had a great experience.
