It should be advertised as a back packers lodge because that’s what the room looked like. The rooms are incredibly small, no place to move. It is advertised as child friendly yet on my arrival I was told that they are not and the cot they put in my room for my one year old son was a favour they...

Dear Guest Thank you for your review. Pity one can not see the compliments and comments of appreciation from guests who choose to discus their experience with management in person rather to write negative comments via this platform. The challenge in this industry remains the ability to balance the expectation of guests with the price they are willing to pay...

I think it's important to stress that we didn't have a bad stay at Le Bac - our stay was comfortable and the property was perfectly located with regards to the wedding venue that we needed to be at in Paarl - We are in the industry and as such we are critical though of hospitality providers that service both...

Dear Reviewer Thank you for your feedback which we really appreciate. We know that the fact that we took over the business on 1 October 2016 should not be justification for the cosmetic and practical items raised. It does however impact on new staff training and implementation of best standards especially during the festive season with limited staff. Check-in and...

We have stayed all over South Africa and Europe. LE Bac certainly has a wonderful view. Though we only arrived at 18:00 we would have expected the reception to be open, to welcome us. However, we had to find assistance in the bistro. Once checked in and room found, we found our room to be clean and comfortable despite the...

Arrived on Boxing Day. We were told an hour before that we had to be there at 4 because all the reception staff were leaving. So had to pack really quickly and rush through to get the key. The restaurant was closed for the day so we couldn't have dinner there. The pool had green algae covering the edges and...

We couldn't sleep because we were itchy. Woke up in the morning to find the entire bed crawling with lice. Went to see the manager, he said it could be mosquitos that bit us.... I insisted on the money back. The lice went into the water bottle my was drinking from during the night, so who knows how many lice...

Dear Guest, We thank you for your review. Unfortunately a family of starlings decided to nest in the ceiling above the one room. We removed them but it is clear that they left us a little gift. We apologize again as we did in person to you on the day as well as in the personal letter accompanying the re-imbursement...

Arrived to have lunch at 2:40 today and the waiter asked the chef Deon if he would still help us.... His reply while playing on his cell phone "no". Advertised hours to 3pm, we would have ordered right away. Perhaps we will feel more welcome somewhere else.

We met friends for drinks there before a matric farewell. Nice vibe with all the youngsters dressed up. Beautiful venue - gardens & buildings. The restaurant & bar has various smallish rooms where you can sit in - interesting!
