La Plume recaptures well the style that it must have enjoyed in its Edwardian heyday. Rooms are furnished with a mixture of original and repro furniture from the era (including ostrich leather upholstery - natch) and there's free port in every room. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom facilities very up-to-date, with a walk-in shower as well as Victorian...

After a long drive from cape town we were met by the picturesque site of la plume guest house. It's stunning setting was complemented by the friendliness of the staff. The room was spacious and delightfully furnished. The food was great and I fully recommend the ostrich fillet.

The views from the terrace are stunning and the night sky is magical. Our large room was very comfortable. We ate in on both nights and had Ostrich on the frist evening which was very nice and would recommend trying. However the menu choices are limited. The Breakfast was as good as we enjoyed elsewhere on our travels. Good base...

This Guest House proved to be a wonderful stop-over. The attention to detail in the accommodation and in the dining room is superb. We had a warm welcome from Janine and also helpful information regarding our onward journey. Our pre-booked dinner was of a very high standard – really loved the ostrich meat. We had also booked a Farm Tour...

A fantastic place with stunning views north towards the mountains. We were offered drinks on arrival - a nice touch. The rooms and main house/sitting room are full of family furniture, photos etc. This creates a very homely feel. It was built as a farm some time ago and they are currently expanding by renovating an old house over the...

The position of this guest house in the Klein Karoo is fabulous. The views from the terrace are stunning and the night sky is magical. Our large room was very comfortable. We ate in on our first night and were a little disappointed both with menu choices(limited) and the rushed service. Breakfast was adequate but not as good as we...

We stayed here for two nights in a self-contained bungalow, with three bedrooms, a lounge, a tiny kitchenette, two large bathrooms, and a big outside porch/terrace with the most amazing views across the countryside to the town of Oudtshoorn and the mountains beyond. Everything was very comfortable (apart from the lounge which wasn't really designed for sitting in) and tasteful....

We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful guest house. The setting is magnificent with breathtaking views of the plain and the mountains behind. We were given a warm welcome with a drink in the gazebo overlooking the plain. The dinner was excellent and they did everything to accommodate my husbands dietary needs. The rooms were extremely comfortable with...

La Plume offers superior accommodation in a garden setting on a farm outside Oudtshoorn, very conveniently situated for those travelling along the R62, and wanting to see this area without being in the town itself. We were warmly welcomed, baggage taken care of and welcome drinks offered. We had been upgraded to a large suite with very comfortable spacious bedroom...
