Not a bad stay but the room we had definitely needs an upgrade. The safe didn't work, the fridge didn't work, the cupboard upstairs was broken. There is NO internet access in the room (only at reception apparently). Light bulbs missing from the light with spider's web. The owner kindly replaced the fridge the next day with a 'new' one....

My husband and I chose the restaurant Cathy et Remy for his birthday dinner. What a pleasant and utterly delightful surprise! It is rustic, yet elegant. The food divine (we had the Cote de Boeuf to share). But the highlight of the evening was the BEST waiter in the world, a young man called Ronaldo. I do not say this...

A group of us stayed for 3 nights over the Oyster Festival, we took over 3 rooms. We really enjoyed the braai and pool area. Had enough space for a group of us to braai. The views and breakfast were really really great each morning. Offering a buffet style, muesli, yoghurt, fruit salad etc. They could have put tea bags...

The most awesome hosts and owners. Very accommodation helpful and friendly. Also run the next door restaurant which seems great although we could not try it. We stayed in room 2 in the manor house. Biggest negative was that you could hear EVERYTHING the neighboring room did; which means they could hear same. Awkward to say the least specially seeing...

Very pleasant. Rustic but quaint. No DSTV or wifi so really nice for us. Close to the river. Walking trails and a lovely swimming pool area with Braai. The restaurant is superb. Recommended. We had a fire place in the room and it made or stay very cozy as it was cold this time of year.

Stayed here on a cycling trip with friends. The surroundings are just beautiful and you can feel yourself instantly relaxing. Small details need a bit of attention but overall the service was good and the rooms were neat and clean albeit very colourful. We enjoyed the breakfast. I would happily recommend staying here especially considering that it is quite budget-friendly.

The best place for a hibernation week stay. With a relaxed warm welcome and presence throughout our stay from the owners Cathy and Remy to the staff. The food was a dream and a joy for the senses. To see Remy and Cathy have so much passion for their food and the preparation makes you want to go back to...
