Usually in the oyster festival period...all guesthouses B&Bs etc are quite pricey. Not only is bamboo very nicely located, but its very well priced too. The staff are super friendly (and certainly very accomodating of all the cyclists there for the races). Certainly a must do next year

Very cold. Fire place did not extract smoke properly. No other form of heating available. All clothing ended up smelling of smoke. Did not get the room we booked but still paid for the better room we had booked

Good day Dennis We are very sorry to hear you did not like your room and only wish you had informed us that your fireplace was not working properly, if only you told us the problem we would of attended to it immediately. I understand you paid for a Honeymoon room, but as you recall you did inform us last... More

Lovely property situated in a bamboo forest with a surprise around every corner. Woke up to birdsong and a gorgeous breakfast served in a cozy room with a crackling fire going. Very special property with extremely friendly staff.

Fabulous vibe, beautiful decor. I will definitely recommend to my friends, will go again. Perfect place to unwind or to have an intimate getaway. The surroundings are so in touch with nature and love the props in the garden.

I had the pleasure of staying at Bamboo lodge for a weekend away. It was absolutely magical, it felt like I was living in the middle of the forest. The rooms were beautiful, the service impeccable and all the staff were amazing. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be visiting here in the future again.

We were a family of two adults and a kid, and this place was SOOO great for us (and I guess all of the other guests) - The athmosphere is magic: loads of plants sourround each cottage, and they contribute to relax and unwind after a long day visiting the region. The guest house is located in the Heads, and... More

We have spent three nights here in a family room (two adults and three young children) and we have been very happy with the Bamboo guesthouse): nice and big room, friendly staff and lovely garden. Very good value for money, we recommend this guesthouse.

Loved this place. The property is a lush paradise of plants and flowers, with the rooms and cottages interconnected by elevated walkways and songbirds in cages. There are sculptures and art objects lurking everywhere. Our room had a four poster bed, fireplace, comfortable big easy chair and couch, claw foot tub....it was great. While very much representing South Africa, the... More

Stayed for a night - but could veg in this environment for at least a week! Love the fact that the walk ways in the man made forest garden take you to all sorts of surprises and all accommodation is privately positioned for absolute privacy. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The cherry on the top are the amazing... More

The warmest of welcomes and tons of local knowledge. The individual cabins and the gorgeous breakfasts (savoury pancakes are a must) the bar and the braii area (have a braii with Louis, if you do one thing here, have a braii) make this an excellent place to stay as you explore the local area. The layout of cabins catering for... More
