Spoiled!!!! Warm and cozy - basket with fresh veg, fruit and honey and the warmest welcoming smile from both Danie and Amanda - new owners. Went to bed with frogs chatter and woke up with birdsong. Discovered that this place really is on the edge of the forest. The 'Dripkelder' hike more or less starts at there stoep's edge. Much... More

Don't believe in too good to be true? Then this is the place to have your mind changed. You get more than advertised, right from the word welcome by Dries and Susan. And then follows the charming views and beautiful, well maintained and practical houses with a stoep, right on the edge of the forest. Be sure to keep an... More

Traveling with a 3 year old boy is challenging, and as parents you always have a sense of apprehension finding that ideal place to nurture your family holiday experience to the max. Laaities are difficult to please. Well folks, this place ticked all the boxes. We booked a unit and got the extra bits, which meant when we got there,... More

Fabulous place. Right on the Forest edge! We had a great 9 km circle in the forest walk and say Knysna Loerie, Nerina Trogon and Olive Woodpecker. Hospitality was great! The grounds are beautiful and loads of places to sit and meditate, read a book or watch the birds.

What a love surprise, the photos are exactly what you get. We checked in, and thought it would be close to shops to go out again and purchase goodies to eat and drink. Our car was a very low car, and we did not really want to travel on the dirt roads back and forth. However, our hosts were fantastic,... More

You can't get more hidden away. These delightful woodcutter cottages are nestled at the very edge of the magical Knysna Forest. All the luxury you need but rustic and cute at the same time. Take good wine, delicious food and light the fires inside .....and hope you hear soft rain on the tin roof. Delicious!

We spent 3 nights at Forest Edge and this was our second time there. Truly ideal for nature lovers, being close to the Knysna forest. Well recommended is the "Drupkelders" walking trail next to the property. Our kids enjoyed swimming in the Homtini river. The donkeys was a treat for my girl. Although the price is a bit steep, it... We checked out this morning. This is an extremely well run establishment. I would like to thank Ronel and her staff for a wonderful peaceful and relaxing stay. Forest Edge is close to some of the most amazing forest hikes. We will be returning. Thank you once again.

This place is different from anywhere we have stayed before. Right at the edge of the amazing Knysna Forest, the cabin we stayed in was perfect. Get there, strap your trainers on and go for a walk, then get back, cook your own braii then crack open a drink to wind down! What you get: - Forest walks - Swims... More

What a jewel in the Knysna crown! From the moment we arrived we felt welcome. Everything had been thought of and nothing was lacking! The cottage was stunning, tastefully decorated and had everything needed to make our stay magical. Attention to detail was top class. Comfortable beds, seating and a great outdoor shower complimented every other creature comfort offered. Waking... More
