Edenwood guesthouse is the place to visit. Old fashion charm and an amazing host Dawn. Dawn is very caring my mother in-law felt sick and she worried about her. The garden is awesome you can read a book and hear the bird's sing. Everything is perfect 💞💞💞

The guesthouse is fully equipped, close to amenities and absolutely tranquil if you are looking for a peaceful getaway. The hosts and staff are friendly and helpful and really go out of their way to make your stay is a memorable one. The service is always excellent. It's perfect for those quick business visits and longer stays as well. I will keep coming back for sure.

All health and safety protocols are followed and I felt safe and very happy in this spotless and luxurious guesthouse. Thank you for making my trip a good one. Rooms are extremely well equipped and comfortable. I chose a self catering option and had a lovely stocked kitchen. Certainly a home away from home in a safe and friendly environment.

Everything was perfect except no internet in the building. Signal was present in the main house but not in the suite assigned to us. Excuse was that service was spotty but this is not the case. I will not write further TripAdvisor reviews if I am compelled to write at lease 200 words

Dear Howard, Thank you for your kind review. So glad you found the ambiance relaxing - that is certainly what we are aiming at. I am sorry I was unable to meet you and your wife personally during your one night stay, but so glad Karen was able to go above and beyond to make you comfortable and provide you with a lovely breakfast with all your special requests of soy milk and oats, and goats cheese, etc. Also that we had the required hypo-allergenic bedding and a darkened room. I know Karen was also able on that night to offer you a choice of rooms of The Annex or our Regency Suite, to see which one suited you best, which sadly had you chosen the Regency the internet would have been fine, but alas, Karen was unaware that the signal had dropped at The Annex as she had tested it in the morning when preparing the room for your arrival. Therefore, I am sorry that the "free" internet was not working in your particular room that night, it was certainly not an excuse on our part. Sadly of late, we have had issues, due to the load-shedding throwing off the router all the time, and countless need to keep re-setting it, therefore we do not always know if it has come back on in each suite. Believe me, we feel just as frustrated as you, as does the rest of SA during these times. The good news is that the fiber has almost reached our street now - so hopefully the signal will then be stronger and the issues will only be those of power from then on. We hope the rest of your holiday is as enjoyable but the rolling load-shedding is going to persist it seems for some months to come. Thank you for choosing Edenwood and we hope to see you again someday. Kind Regards Dawn and The Edenwood Team
