We got a warm welcome by Josef (two-legged) and Maxi (four-legged). The property is like a little paradise, there's a beautiful green garden where you can have breakfast and also on the boarder of the paths there's plants and trees growing. The rooms are designed in warm light colours, the bed is very comfortable. The host is friendly and assisting.

Great hotel and exceptional service. The rooms are very spacious and do not lack any comfort. The public areas including the pool are very inviting to just sit back and relax. I can only recommend to stay at this hotel in this very nice area of Cape Town.

Top notch luxury hideaway. Unpretentious luxury! Peter Trauber, his finacée and their great staff looked very well after us and we seriously had the time to rest and enjoy! We feel privileged that we discovered Villa Coloniale.

Usually we stay closer to the beaches but we found this location perfect as there was easy access to Cape Town and the surrounding areas we wished to visit. We were in room 4 – lovely suite with separate living, bed and bath rooms. We also saw room 5 – also lovely, as I expect are all the suites. Our hosts, Raymond and Cornelia, were super and we loved the Christmas present! And Eddie and Jasper added to the character! Breakfasts were very good but a bit more variety...

The first impression of Villa Coloniale is very charming when you drive in from the street. The garden is very lush and the white colonial style building fits very well in. Unfortunately this so called paradise in paradise does not meet the expectations that one has when staying at a 5 star guesthouse. We stayed for 12 nights at the...
