We were treated as the only guests at the hotel from arrival to departure. We were upgraded a room which was beyond expectations, amazingly large and luxurious. The ladies at the Spa were brilliant. The waitrons and service at Tryn and the Bistro was world Class. Thanks to Tracy and her team for an exceptional weekend and spoiling us and really going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable.
Beautiful rooms, spacious, amazingly decorated, everything you need and the service is second to none. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like royalty, every staff member remembering our names and the fact we'd visited before. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all incredible and despite the Corona Virus and the golf club, wine tasting and Bistro being closed, our stay was still very special. It's not the cheapest place to stay in Constantia, but that’s not why you go there, the views, service, staff, food and overall special experience is why and I expect to pay for that! We’ll certainly be back. Thanks Steenberg team, very special and there’s not a thing that’s too much trouble. An absolute must visit and stay.
We stayed here 4 nights and had a great time. Our room was upgraded to a duplex suite which was quite large (to say the least). Everything in the room was excellent except the door! It is a stable door and quite fiddly to unlock open and close - you can easily trap a finger if you are not careful! There is a large lounge and dining area downstairs with a small kitchen, and the bedroom and bathroom are upstairs. In addition there is a small private patio that overlooks the vineyard, with loungers and a table and chairs - a great place to unwind after a hard day’s holidaying! The property is spread out over a number of buildings in the main hotel, and the bistro which is a short walk across the vineyard. Of course you can get a ride there anytime, and also to the local shops and restaurants if you want to eat out. The food is excellent, and the service first class. This is a really great place to explore Constantia and the Cape Town area and I recommend it very highly.…
Steenberg Hotel was a perfect place to play a round of golf and then sample the local wine. The food was excellent and the rooms were modern and airy with all modern facilities. You could go for a swim in the swimming pool or have a massage to relax after a round of golf. We would recommend the hotel excellent experience.
Steenberg Hotel is a great exponent of South African hospitality at its best. Plenty of staff ( and more importantly helpful, efficient and attentive) beautiful rooms and two great restaurants on site- 1682 and Trynn. Added pleasure for my wife and- a lovely golf course, walking distance from our room. Added to this- complimentary wine tasting at 1682, free taxi transport to local restaurants, and a daily shuttle to the V&A in Cape Town, means when return next year, Steenburg will be top of our list
