It was our first visit to the location for a dinner. The menu was concise and not to opulent yet sufficient choice. The service was first class and on the ball. The quality of the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Attention to detail was great. Worth a visit if you don't mind a bit of a drive... More

Encouraged by two friends who were enthusiastic about their visit to the Cellars Hohenhort High tea we went there yesterday. I will sub-title this review “the High Tea that was not”. We arrived at hotel at 3pm and were directed to the Conservatory. I had previously met a staff member who informed me that we could sit inside or outside.... More

Dear robelsa Thank you for posting your review, I am most distressed at the experience that you and your wife had here! Rude waitresses, wobbly chairs, slimy ponds, very junior chef/managers on smoke breaks and an unappealing menu sounds terrible and a different Hotel! As Trip Advisor does not give us contact details, I appeal to you that you contact... More

This hotel is a very nice Relais Chateau in the middle of nowhere (which is great!) Great great restaurant in house and the concierge got us a reservation at the restaurant La Colombe (where you need to reserve months in advance). We got a 1 bedroom suite. Be aware you are in a country hotel so you might see ants... More

Sitting outside on a perfect winter,s day we thoroughly enjoyed a perfectly prepared meal at a reasonable price .the selection offered on the menu adequately covered most tastes. two of our party of five had two starters instead of a main meal which was ample and served to perfection. The service was excellent as well as was the wine selection.... More

I attended a small group workshop at Cellars Hohenhort in the heart of winter and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The rooms are beautifully and warmly decorated. The space we used felt like home, there was a fire place lit, comfortable couches, and tasteful decor. A fire place was lit when we arrived. The space and bathrooms were clean.... More

We enjoyed our 3-night stay here. We had a suite with a sitting area separate from the bedroom. There was also an outdoor terrace with lounge chairs. The bathroom was large and the shower pressure was great (so rare in most hotels). The complementary mini-bar was a nice touch. All the staff were pleasant but the night front desk person... More

On a rainy Sunday afternoon we enjoyed great service and lovely food (Duck was excellent as was a gourmet burger) with attentive and smiling service. Have to say that the meal was the SECOND BEST one we enjoyed in our four day stay in the CAPE.

My wife and I stayed seven nights at the Cellars-Hohenort in early June. We paid R2,777 ($183 or 162 Euros) per night, including breakfast. The positives start with the warm, engaging, and professional staff. We were warmly greeted (by name!) at every interaction with a staff member. This included at the front desk, in the restaurants, and by the managers.... More

The Cellars Hohenort wasn't my first choice, but on this trip we really wanted to stay in Constantia ( we usually stay in Camps Bay or at the Westin by the Waterfront).
