It was our first experience at a backpackers. Nervously we asked our Uber driver to stop. It was not well marked but we recognised the building. It is pretty central and convenient. We knocked on the door and waited a bit. The Manager, Eezi, came out and shook hands. He was friendly and helpful.Still apprehensive, we waited in the dim little passage. We waited to finalise the booking, pay and so on. There was a deposit for keys, which was refunded. Our room was a huge surprise. It was airy and light, en suite with a lot of packing space. The room had a fan and a modern coffee pod machine, with coffee and sugar. The rooms are serviced daily and even communal bathrooms are clean at all times. The staff both upstairs and in the bar were extremely friendly and helpful. We received a welcome drink at the bar, in a relaxed atmosphere, and were given breakfast vouchers. A full English breakfast (or your choice), with coffee is served at the Kimberley hotel daily. Here the service was also speedy and friendly. It is centrally located, but there is no small cafe nearby for incidentals such as milk for coffee, or juice. There is a bakery and a tavern, as well as coffee shops in the area. This is good value for money!

I was looking for a cheap place to sleep for a night. District six backpackers was exactly this. The cleaning facilities were very basic and the hostel is located next to club, so on a weekend you are going to listen to some partyfolks at night. I met some cool guys though!

I stayed for 3 nights. Upon arrival I was checked in by a gentleman who was friendly, gave me the key and explained few things about the property, and went upstairs with me to show me the room and other facilities they have. The staff is friendly and willing to work with guests. The room was clean and dustbin is taken out everyday. There is a mini kitchen also. Wifi is a slow. I also liked the location of the lodge. I enjoyed my stay.

The sheets must be replaced , there really old and muffy. Hope fully this will be changed on my next visit! he service from Nicolene and Easy truly makes it more than just a room your paying for. A coffee machine and my favorite digital power lighted mirror. I will be back!

Do not stay here. The beds are horrible. The place is dodgy. The place is a dump. I'd honestly rather spend a night on the street. Paid for a month, wasn't refunded after checking out after the 1st night. Ran to another backpackers, and they told me that I wasn't the first person to come running as fast as I could. It's truly horrible.

Though quite a distance (15 min on foot) from Long street, District Six backpackers is a pleasant place to stay. There are some bars around and this makes the place look lively. The staff is very nice and helpful. Good Wi-Fi connection in the lounge.

My girlfriend and I stayed at District Six for a weekend away from home. Had a great time...situated in between the clubs and bars we had a great time, with a good breakfast to wake up to in the mornings.

This accomodation is above a noisy café. If you don't mind the loud music almost every night and for shure all the weekends it's a good place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The dorms are ok, you can store your luggage. Matras not thick. WiFi (free of use) is horroble working at nights the best and at daytime slow. Close to a store, walking distance from "Longstreet", hop on hop citytourbus nearby. I felt as a woman safe in this accomodation. A free welcome drink for every guest. But the party noise from downstairs could brake you if you stay long time.' I paid 7,69€ per night.
