very nice place in Cape Town, beautiful garden, small breakfast room, so the contact with other guests is easily made. Very helpful staff. Huys Haerlem looks really cosy with the library and the sweet dogs.

This was my third stay here but the first for my husband who can't stop talking about Stefan's wonderful breakfasts along with the peacefulness of the guest house. We stayed for 1 night in Cape Town. Huijs Haerlem is a nice and restful place. Not far from downtown (you need a car or a cab indeed). Stefan was very helpful to give some tips and help us. Definitely a place we would stay at again. Christophe and Jérôme (Switzerland)

This was our first visit to Cape Town, and we appreciated the comfortable rooms and convenient location (walkable to the coast and many restaurants), delicious breakfast, and the pool with a view! Most outstanding though was our helpful host, who assisted with everything from printing out boarding passes to giving us detailed directions for a driving tour around the Cape....

We had a wonderful time. The management was very accommodating and helpful. They gave us guidelines and information about places to visit including weather updates. They even managed to arrange a birthday surprise party for one of our member's wife.

The only pity about staying here was I only stayed one night. Will definitely go back. Everything was perfect from being met by Stefan on arrival, the personal introduction, beautiful room with an incredible view. Breakfast excellent. Never used the pool but garden and pool surrounds beautiful. Reasonably priced as well. Full marks to Stefan and team.

I stayed at Huijs Haerlem when I went to run the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon 2016. They offer ecxellent service and a magnificent view by the pool side. Thank you Stefan for leaving a well prepared runner's breakfast (banana, yoghurt, muffin, apple) because I was going to miss the breakfast that morning. Very thoughtful!

Very nice homely environment & I would stay again. I was in room 9 and access to the bathroom is down steep flight of stairs and there was loud TV noise from a room at the base of the staircase each night.
