The hotel is centrally located along long street where the action is. If you are not a party animal and looking for quiet sleep stay away. The loud music from the clubs lasts to wee hours. The breakfast is on order, same limited menu everyday. The most annoying thing is that is smelled cigarettes all the way from the elevator,... More

This was a terrific hotel on Long Street with amazing views of Table Mountain. Long Street was a hive of activity but, as they inform you on booking, it does get rather noisy, uptill about 0430. They do provide ear plugs. We enjoyed the ambience and did not need the ear plugs. Breakfast was great, the room was spotless and... More

This hotel stinks of cigarette smoke in the rooms even though they state it is a non smoking hotel and you will not get any sleep due to the noise from the street - the ear plugs don't work. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Urban Chic Boutique Hotel was a unique place. It's a great location if you want to experience a trendy, funky area of Cape Town, but don't count on sleeping while you're there. There are lots of choices for eating and drinking, without having to even get a taxi. Just step outside of the hotel and walk up or down Long... More

Good day Sir Wow, I must say, your review sounds like something straight out of a Men in Black movie strip LOL. On a serious note though, I have been the General Manager at the hotel since 2008 and I have never received feedback or a review describing anything close to what you describe above. Neither myself, nor my receptionist,... More

When booking why don't they advise you that you won't sleep because of the night clubs downstairs. Even when the club's eventually close the drink people in the street keep you up till the early morning. Worst experience in Cape Town.

Good day, I'm sorry you are (as your heading describes), but we do not hide the fact that we are based in the famous party street of Cape Town, Long street with its "never sleeps vibe" and surrounded by nightclubs and bars. On our website we even say that we provide earplugs on request. At check-in we reiterate this fact... More

It was fine enough, they charged me the same amount to have on towel cleaned as it cost me to have 5kg of washing out sourced. They say it is hotel policy for dirty linen (a bit of make up?!) a bit dodgy if you ask me since I discovered my duvet was covered in stains (only saw when the... More

Good day ma'am and thank you for your review. As I tried to explain to you when you were checking out, its not the laundering of the handtowel that is the problem, but as the towels are of a more expensive and specialised material, these stains (make up, hair dye, wine, blood, vomit etc) do not always come out as... Urban Chic is an interesting hotel. Many modern flairs, the rooms are wonderful and stunning bathrooms ( bar our shower needing a bit of a tile replacement) but this is certainly not the spot for a relaxing holiday. It is right on the Main Street (Long) which is a massive party spot. In that respect convenient for party goers -... More

The room is really pretty and very comfortable but it feels like you sleep inside a nightclub. Earplugs does not work, pillow over your head does not work. We were booked for two nights but will see if we can't get booked into another hotel for tonight. I can't see myself staying here another night. This was booked through Discivery... More

Very good central location and very friendly, helpful and informative staff. There is secure parking available. There is a nice bar which is popular with locals who work in the Central Business District and the bar-person could not be more friendly. In terms of the noise.....there is a lot of noise but we found that the ear-plugs worked and this... More

From the time you arrive the staff could not be more helpful. The rooms have lovely Bathrooms are very spacious and comfortable. Loved this hotel so much.
