The service at this hotel was great, all the staff was very friendly. The room was good and nice big bed. Not many TV channels though. We loved having cocktails by the beautiful pool, and in the morning we had a great breakfast buffet.

I am at the hotel and we are here on a work conference for the next 5 days which will feel like 5 years. Their service is horrible and the food is extremely BAD. Every time you go their dinning area its a struggle to get proper food that suits your died. And now every excuse is blamed on covid-19. Their kitchen staff is loud and rude. We have for towels to be changed and to get shampoo and they never did. The carpet in the rooms is dirty and they same the same meals. I will never come back or do my trainings here. One of the ladies used her bare hands to touch my croissant with no gloves. Yaak!

My GF and I drove all the way from Tanzania to Cape Town and like we did for months, we booked this hotel and put our credit card information on booking.com. A few days before, I had gotten bitten by a spider and had a large, septic wound on my shin, which by this time seemed to have gotten septic, and since I by then developed a fever and started shivering, we had to go to the hospital right away. My girlfriend wanted to quickly handle check in and called a Taxi, we asked them to be fast as my condition was not good. They said payment through booking did not work, so she gave them her credit card (number 1). Didn’t work. So she gave them her spare one (number 2). also didn’t work. I gave them mine (number 3). Didn’t work. Gave them my spare (number 4) didn’t work. it was SO obvious that their card machine did not work, as our credit cards worked just fine since about we started driving from Tanzania and of course before that (and spoiler alert: in the hotel we checked in 2 hours later, it also worked). So, those guys called the manager, he didn’t know, and they seemed a bit helpless, and they did not look like they would come up with a solution (as we asked: “guys, what do we do now?”, just no response, mumbling to themselves, quite disrespectful). We did explain my condition and asked if they knew a hospital nearby (we ended up googling) and made a suggestion: Let us please quickly drop our things in the room and we can pay when we get back from hospital, we can bring it in cash. Answer: “Sorry sir, payment has to be done before check in”. We tried to argue the case that it should be their card machine and not our card, but they weren’t having it. Our final and desperate attempt was to offer them to leave our credit card / passport / laptop at the reception until we sorted payment, but even that was a simple, unemotional “no”. So, we asked them to cancel the booking (which they agreed they would do free of charge) and had to go to hospital with all our bags. (long story short: I had quite bad blood poisoning from a spider bite and was put on antibiotics right away, which I take as of this writing, but Im fine :-) ). The next day, we could see that they did not, as we agreed, cancel the booking. So we called them, and in the same, cold as ice manner, explained to us that booking need to be cancelled at least 24h before arriving, so they would not cancel it (even though we agreed on that). I argued with them and to be fair, eventually they did cancel the booking free of charge. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend not using this place, if anything goes not as planned, which can always happen, those guys will surely be painful to deal with. We treated extremely inhumanly and disrespectful. Stay away from this place.

The reviews of this hotel were very good and therefore I booked, the website layout also great but unfortunately my experience was the opposite. Firstly I contacted the hotel to make sure they have availability and explained that it's for a wedding anniversary, the lady then said no problem send you request via email and we will take care of it. I then waited on the email confirmation and called back to make sure the email reached them. I checked in at 3 pm got my key went to the room, the door was open as the bed still had to be made and cleaned. I then went to the reception for another room and was sorted. There was nothing special (and this room was better than the one allocated) the location was not great, the bathroom old bathtub with a shower over the bath and a shower curtain....that was off-putting, I then thought let's just relax and have a drink I called the bar for an ice bucket and ice, "sorry we do not have ice buckets and no ice" as the barman had to buy one bag"oh and no bar menu.., I was in shock....the bed was very uncomfortable and hard I tossed and turned... I enquired at the reception what a superior room was, the lady said they all superior rooms but I had to ask for specifics....I wasnt given any options.....thought requesting to have a special stay that would have been taken care of.....the pool area does not accommodate for a lot of people as three tables were next to each other there was a few people already there...no one else could use the facility.....I guess unless you want to join in them.... The food was average nothing exciting...definately not for me :(
