After our long flight from the UK, we couldn't have been more delighted with our greeting from Josh - drink offered outside - friendly explanation of facilities. Even though we were too early for our room, there was somewhere to change and have a shower. Lovely pool (pleased to meet one UK celebrity in it!) Absolutely excellent breakfasts, and had...

We stayed at this fabulous small hotel on the final day of our South African trip and we were not disappointed! Right from the initial warm greeting we were made to feel very welcome for our entire stay. We opted to stay the following day after check out until our flight home as we needed a little relaxation after a...

We stayed at the Blackheath lodge in November and enjoyed every minute of our time there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help make your time in Cape Town an experience to remember. The breakfast was great. On some evenings we were able to enjoy some home cooking. We particularly liked the...

Great base from which to explore Cape Town. The layout is a little chaotic, a few town houses acquired & joined together to make the Lodge, but that adds to the charm. Rooms are spacious & comfortable, there are seating areas outside the bedrooms where you can relax with a cup of tea/coffee or complimentary port! It's out of town...

The combination of comfortable beds (why don't more hotels realise the importance of sleep?), superb facilities and wonderfully helpful staff make this our destination of choice in Cape Town. We had a spacious verandah with a sea view, great breakfasts and even a couple of delicious evening meals. If you like small hotels that are friendly without being obsequious then...

Had a lovely experience staying here. The service was good and the rooms were pleasant also located in a really good part of the city. I recommend it and will definitely return on my next visit to Cape Town.

Room was very nice, although it could have been improved if the terrace had been better screened from the surrounding flats. Breakfasts were enjoyable. The Lodge also had a nice bar for drinks, albeit small. The Lodge had some nice touches like providing a mobile phone, which we could use for local calls, iPAd for use during our stay and...

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We cannot compliment the staff enough. They were great and the hotel was spotlessly clean. They also arranged tours for us. The breakfast was great and so was dinner. You cannot go wrong booking here.

Lovely guest house in a nice part of town. The service was excellent - the staff made dinner reservations, booked tours, taxis etc. The breakfast was really good and plentiful - lots of lovely home made items. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed. Pool area was nice and communal areas of the guest house were relaxing. Seemed...
