Amazing breakfast (with good coffee included), nice atmosphere and bars, clean rooms, great location, good level of security. Carol who works behind the desk was so friendly and welcoming, he really made our stay!

Breakfasts are bespoke in one of the most trendy coffee joints in Kloof street> go see for yourself. Truly unique. Decor really cool. Very central location. Just down the road from the MyCiti bus stop. Across the road from Kloof centre. The one keyboard in the business centre was faulty which was highly annoying. a keyboard doesn't cost much. Please... Amazing place, amazing vibe, clean rooms and dorm rooms as well , very friendly and helpful staff of once in cape town, the yours truly staff not as friendly but they are not too bad , i think its only because of the pressure and amount of clients. The place is very good for backpackers and 20s till mid 30s... More

Once in Cape Town probably has the best dorms I've seen. They fit only 4 people and have nice ensuite bathrooms. Although it is quite cramped there is enough space to store everything and they have small tables with mirrors to put some stuff down. The best thing of it all are the beds, with a storage (including lock possibility)... More

We're not that old, mid-30's, but felt quite old for the people staying there. We requested a private room facing the mountain (knowing there was the noisier street/bar on the other side), but when we arrived, we were given a second floor room, right next to the bar area. It didn't really show on the pictures but the bar area... More

Loved the location; downtown and connected to the Yours Truly bar. It was loud at times but the bar closed at 11:30pm, even on weekends. They also had a ton of info on what to do and offered planned activities. Most staff were very helpful. The rooms themselves were small, SUPER HOT and had cockroaches. My friend awoke to cockroaches... More

Friendly and helpful staff, nice and clean rooms and a nice bar. In a few minutes you are on Longstreet or other nice places in Cape Town also the locals visiting the bar. Everyday Once organise an other acivity, that is an easy way to meet new people from the hostel.

Centrally located, and good facilities. We were welcomed by a very warm and energetic guy at the reception-Carol who ushered our car in with an almost royal flourish. He was sprinting ahead of our car and welcomed us to the parking and the hostel with a very warm smile. The hostel gives complimentary wifi, and complimentary breakfast (Till 10 AM... More

As the morning starts with your grumpy best friend waking up from a good night party downstairs or just down the road, awesome pizza and a cold drink to sober you right back up again when we only woke up halfway during the day, but if may i say. awesome vibes, best staff, cool people and happy times. I stayed at Once in Cape Town in September 2015 and enjoyed my stay. It was my first time staying at a hostel but I felt very comfortable and safe. The staff was fun, easy to talk to, and very helpful with any questions that arose, particularly Carol who always greeted us after partying on the nearby Long St. and... More
