Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel offers a stylish city stay with all the special touches. At Cape Cadogan, you have the best of both worlds: a quiet, beautifully elegant hideaway with the vibrant neighbourhood of Kloof Street on your doorstep. This historic building (with National Monument status) dating back to the early 1800s, has undergone an extensive refurbishment in 2022. She is elegantly styled in beautiful emerald greens, classic black and white, and touches of gold. This sophisticated style brings her firmly into the 21st century, without losing any of her charm.

Each of her 19 rooms are individually designed around her historic uniqueness. Relaxed guest areas with two pools for the warmer days. Our

focus on wellness includes calming therapies at our onsite spa, and our hotel gym means it is easy to keep up a training routine. We even have our own restaurant, Upper Union.

Cape Cadogan Residence is a stylish exclusive use living space that adjoins the hotel. This exclusive use home has three en-suite bedrooms, a

fully equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area, and an outdoor deck with a pool. Daily gourmet breakfast is served in the Residence. Should you

want to enjoy an evening in, a chef can be arranged on request and at additional cost. A dedicated Residence butler will take care of the daily

details and ensure an exceptional stay. Guests have access to the spa and gym at the Hotel.

Beautiful hotel with exceptional staff and every comfort you could wish for. Our room was spacious, bathrobes, comfortable bed, tea / coffee everything you could need. A complimentary welcome drink and cakes when you arrive. Breakfast offered a great choice, beautifully cooked and so fresh. As you are right on Kloof Street you can easily walk to some excellent restaurants. We tried Kloof Street House which we would highly recommend and certainly revisit, the food and atmosphere were excellent. The hotel offers a shuttle (if you don’t take the scheduled one there is a small / reasonable charge but then you can take it at times to suit you) to the V&A waterfront or your chosen restaurants. We had a fabulous time and would certainly revisit.

Exactly what we wanted! We love modern, clean, small, well appointed boutique hotels that have excellent, accommodating staff. Cape Cadogen nailed it. Where do I start…the location for exploring Cape Town is perfect. A short Uber to everything, makes the location ideal. From the moment you walk up the steps of the hotel and are greeted with a warm smile, to every little detail in the room, our stay was amazing. I can’t say enough about the staff and their knowledge of local activities and sites. Lastly, the Upper Union house, which is the associated restaurant, is a can’t miss. We make it a point to never eat at the same place twice on vacation and we ate here twice and wanted to again, but made ourselves try another restaurant. Well done! We highly recommend this hotel!

Stylish, friendly hotel with a wonderful location. The Upper Union Restaurant next door was used for breakfast and dinner with a tasty list of sharing plates The only negative was the hot shower being tipis and no shaving point in the bathroom.

Disclaimer: Our reviews are solely based on our experiences, not on other readers' experiences or influenced by other readers or entities. You will rarely read "like other reviewers…" from our posts since we practice not to read reviews and visit with virgin eyes untainted by what others may have experienced. Overview: Staff: 5/5 The Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They make you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. Upon arrival, you receive a welcome drink and snack while given a brief introduction to the facilities, during which your bags are carted away to your room. Hotel Room: 5/5 The rooms at the hotel are spacious, clean, and well-laid out. The rooms are a combination of Victorian and modern. The bathroom comes filled with all the accessories you may have run out of while traveling through South Africa. Note: Make sure to ask what is complimentary vs. what is charged to your room regarding fridge and snack draws. The Cadogan is located on local streets, and honestly, there is no need to use the snack bar since these snacks are readily available a short distance from the hotel. During colder nights, turn-down service is provided, where they leave warmers in your bed! It's an added touch of excellence that leaves you thinking how thoughtful this establishment is. (Who wants to come back to a cold bed?!?!?!?) Hotel Grounds: 5/5 After exploring Cape Town, you can grab a drink or snack and relax in their lounge; on colder nights, the fireplace is an added touch where you can sit around and recap your adventures or plan your next day of events before returning to your room. There is a 24-hour gym that you have access to, which is small in comparison but decently sized to carry all you need to get a complete workout in if you want to work off all the exquisite food you devoured the previous day. There are shared and personal pool areas around the facilities, all giving you an excellent view of Table Mountain on clear days. Continental breakfast is served daily in the dining section of the hotel, providing you with a variety of choices and chef-prepared specials. You can also enjoy dinner at The Cape. Alternatively, you can head out and experience the nightlife by the pier or even close by one of the nearby restaurants or bars. The hotel is located in the heart of Cape Town, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with many options, including fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, and bacon. Location: 5/5 Located less than a 15-minute drive from Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and a short walk from plenty of local shops and restaurants set the tone that you'll always have things to do. This Victorian-style home is nestled in a relatively quiet neighborhood. The most noise we experienced was the birds chirping in the morning, setting the tone for the day. Overall Conclusion: 5/5 We highly recommend the Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Cape Town. You will surely not regret choosing to stay here while visiting.

1. We loved the hotel and would highly recommend. 2. We had two rooms, both were excellent. 3. Breakfast every morning was delicious. 4. Our first night in Cape Town, we had dinner at their restaurant, Upper Union. Quite frankly it was the BEST dinner we had in CT and we visited two other popular A+ establishments. 5. We walked to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront from Cadogan (my husband and I are in our 60's and it was easy) and took a 4.00 US, Uber back to the hotel. 6.All in all, a fabulous experience.
