stayed over for 3 nights in this lovely little place, influenced by British style and built in early 1900s. Owner Dirk (German) is affable and the manager Anja is simply lovely - think of her as Mrs Doubtfire.........room and balcony on 2nd floor has magnificent view of Table Mountain/Devils Peak. Downside is that its somewhat removed from central Cape Town... More

Every thing about Abbey Manor exceeded my expectations. It is referred to as a Luxury Guesthouse, and that it is. Dirk and his guesthouse deserves its five star rating. I enjoyed the privacy of the pool house, which was newly renovated and tastefully decorated. The room provided all of the amenities to satisfy my every need, and the host couldn't... More

Abbey Manor was the perfect start to our Honeymoon. The room was fabulous with everything we needed and a freshly stocked mini bar everyday. There was a very relaxed atmosphere at the guest house and nothing was too much trouble. Anja was exceptional and ensured we had everything we needed and help getting around. Every aspect of this lovely guest... More

We stayed 3 nights in Abbey Manor in August. It's easily reached off the M3, about 30 mins drive from the international airport. The location, at the foot of Table Mountain is simply breathtaking. The house is stunning and very tastefully decorated; the bedrooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Customer service can't be faulted - we were very well... More

This B&B was a gem in Cape Town. Dirk and staff were attentive , thoughtful and professional. The rooms were terrific with fridges , comfortable beds, soaking bathtubs and a safe . The daily breakfast was hot with a myriad of choices . The wireless internet was easily accessible . A nightly turndown service made us feel right at home... More

Stayed here for three nights on our visit to Cape Town, and prior to setting off on the Garden Route. The location itself is perfect for views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill, at least from our room. We were met by the manager who explained everything to us and offered hints and suggestions, about what to see and getting... More

It's the little things that bring us happiness and Abbey Manor doesn't disappoint. There is a rooftop terrace for spectacular views of Table Mountain and listening to the birds. The rooms are equipped with a fridge and tea kettle with a variety of teas and milk. The daily turndown service includes nougat and a bedtime story. The front lobby is... More

We were the only people at Abbey Manor when we stayed there. The location is up the mountain from the main city. We walked from their to the wharf and it was about 4 miles. As it is downhill, that was fine, but not to walk back! The house is beautiful and the people who run it are very accommodating... More

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it and enjoyed having you stay with us. The restaurant you mentioned is our lovely corner café, a minute walk away where both business people and locals meet for lunch. Kloof street is under 10 minute walk away from the hotel and it has a wide variety of restaurants along it as... More

Abbey Manor is situated inn upmarket but fairly central suburb of Cape Town - reasonably accessible - though as Cape Town is very hilly -the walk down into the centre is fine but the haul up would be quite demanding - best take a taxi - they are very cheap. The house dates from the true of the 20th century... More
