We stayed here on the last two nights of our honeymoon and it was the perfect end to a blissful trip. We were greeted with a glass of champagne before being shown to our room, where there was more champagne for us to enjoy on the balcony with views of Table Mountain. The hotel is in a quiet leafy part of CT within a few mins walking distance of some lovely restaurants and bars. The interior is exquisitely decorated, resembling a gallery, and the rooms beautifully appointed. The staff were warm and friendly, and made us feel so special we didn't want to leave. We had to check out very early for our flight and the staff prepared a lovely breakfast for us to take away. We can't recommend this place highly enough and would love to return.
Just an amazing hotel, great hospitality, rooms are top notch, breakfast, water and hot drinks all included, well located for table mountain with great views over the city and set in a little green quiet oasis - would highly recommend this hotel
We recently stayed at Kensington Place on the first two nights of our Honeymoon and couldn't have wished for a better start. We had been so busy with the wedding in the lead up to our trip that we hadn't gotten round to planning our time in Cape Town but that wasn't an issue at all- as soon as we arrived the wonderful hotel staff sat us down with a glass of champagne and helped us to plan our trip out and then made the relevant bookings for us- WOW, what service. Our room was modern and homely with a great view of Table Mountain from the balcony. We hope to return one day, both Kensington Place & Cape Town exceeded our expectations.
My wife and I spent the first three nights of our honeymoon at this hotel and it was an unbelievable home away from home. The room was comfortable and had amazing views. I have never encountered a friendlier or more professional staff. Everyone who worked there went above and beyond to make sure we were having a nice time and showed genuine interest in what we had planned while in Cape Town. We felt incredibly grateful & lucky to have been able to stay here and should we ever return to Cape Town, we hope there will be availability.
This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet area of cape town. It was the perfect place to spend a few days at the start of our honeymoon. The staff is absolutely incredible— helpful, accommodating and extremely friendly. You will not be disappointed!
Everything about this place is amazing. Small hotel with large rooms, I believe there are 7 or 8 total. Lobby has sitting room with fireplace, dining area and bar complete it. The staff was amazing and so eager to help. Jillian greeted us and even though Cape Town had shut down again, we were able to get food easily and their recommendations were great. Garden and outdoor areas are so nice as well. Quiet room and location. Read less
Kensington Place was one of the best hotel experiences my husband and I have ever had. The room was beautiful with two balcony's and heated floors (which I loved!). The service was more than we could even imagine. We arrived when SA has just moved to Covid Alert Level 3, so restaurants were closing and the night manager before checking us in ordered us food after a long day of travel to make sure we wouldn't go hungry. The next morning, Hope at the front desk went above and beyond to help us coordinate a guided tour down to Cape of Good Hope, book lunch at La Colombe (amazing restaurant, highly recommend this too) and arrange when to climb Table Mountain. Julie Ann was just as helpful as and let us store our luggage for the day since we had an evening flight when we were departing South Africa. Due to Covid the kitchen was only open for breakfast, and it was a lovely breakfast with fresh pressed juice, lattes & a large variety of plates to chose from. Location was central to everything, very easy to walk to Kloof St, and less than 10 minute drive to anywhere else we needed to go. The neighborhood was beautiful and we felt safe walking around. 10/10 would recommend Kensington Place and will absolutely stay here again next time we're back in Cape Town.…
Kensington place was our first stop on our honeymoon in South Africa. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was great and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We also liked the location a lot. Highly recommend this great boutique hotel.
The hotel is small and cosy, very comfortable with a beautiful small garden: orange, lemon trees around. What makes it a great stay is the staff! Everyone is extremely nice, very helpful and does a superb job! A special thanks to the breakfast kitchen staff for preparing outstanding omelettes and granola!
LOVED our 2 night stay here - the staff and their service were impeccable. The breakfast's were to DIE for. Lovely security staff too who i'm sure rarely get a shout out but i felt very safe here. Great area. Honestly the staff could not do more for us! And honestly though breakfasts..... WOW! Rooms were of a very high standard - LOVED LOVED LOVED IT. I will be back!
