Large rooms , very clean, Nice welcome, Free WiFi. Pool was closed due to water shortage so unable to comment. Staircase was very dark and dingy and didn't look too clean. Staff were very friendly, reception even tried to mend my watch strap for me which i broke while there. Breakfast very good. We ate in restaurant one evening and food was very good and well priced.

Amazing staying, everything as showed on website pictures. Large room, kindle staff, excellent location, good food, good drinks, good service. Nothing like those impersonal service provided by those big hotel brands. It was an authentic Capetonian hotel. Perfect!!!!!!

i recently stayed at Hollow on the Square during the 2019 WTM Africa and although i could not enjoy the luxury of the hotel during the day i thoroughly enjoyed their service. The attention to detail from the parking attendant Mandla to the Reception staff (all gents which was something new for me). The rooms are spacious, comfortable and warm so that makes it easy to share with a work colleague. Bathrooms and kitchette facilities are in very good condition and the espresso machine was my best friend - sorry housekeeping i just had to use all my capsules every day! LOVED THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL! I only had breakfast at the hotel - the mushroom dish was the best ever! Great service and your ladies know the importance of customer service. They may not remember the names of all the clients but the sir and ma'am with a warm smiles does it! Thank you to the kitchen staff and housekeeping staff who works tirelessly behind the scene making the customer service staff look good. The best about the hotel for me was that i could leave my company vehicle at the hotel knowing it is secured and walk back and forth to the CTICC

Our first trip to South Africa, so did not know what to expect, the hotel was better than expected room was large clean and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding something for everyone freshly cooked breads, pastries, croissants, the staff were vigilante in checking their was enough hot eggs, bacon etc, we even had smoked salmon in a sauce 2 mornings it was varied and interesting and all well presented. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful from the moment we walked in nothing was too much trouble always smiling and happy great atmosphere, a particular mention to Charles and Devon outstanding service from them on reception, kind caring and professional what more can you ask for. You can sit outside enjoy food and drink and the occasional busker with a guitar comes and plays a funky tune or two

The room was very big and comfortable, the bathroom clean and functional. The hotel is in the middle of pedestrian squares so it's very quiet, you can sleep with open windows. The breakfast was diverse and healthy with home made bread, sweet and salty, fruit, muesli, eggs... The staff was lovely and the snacks served at the bar quite abundant and yummy. We stayed 3 nights and the location was perfect to go to long street for dinner by feet and the parking is very convenient (though not included with the room) to start every excursion. Only negative side is the wifi that was only present in our room entrance so not very easy to chill in the bed... The elevator was about to be renovated, it worked but was quite old.
