Really great and friendly staff who always made sure we had what we needed at all times. Will happily stay here when I am in CPT again be it for work or vacation. Super central to everywhere we needed to be.
Very nice and quite place, rooms clean and nice. But I dnt like the fact that the fridge was full of the stuff I found them..please nxt time remove you beers from the fridge becoz myslf I dnt like alcohol at all.
Both myself and a colleague stayed here, we both had our cards cloned by the guy on reception. Came out with some bull about it was policy to make a copy of the card and then both of us at later stages had money taken from our cards. Keep away from this place.
Cape Town was completely overbooked, and I had to take one of the last rooms that was available below € 500 per night: at the Cape Town Lodge Hotel. Because of its quirky looks on the fotos, I was worried that the hotel may be too downmarket, but I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and nice enough, the rooftop pool was cool to sit at, and the restaurant was really good. Best treat for me: the cigar lounge, a rare facility to find these days!
It's an okay e/nough place, with friendly staff - but their was a sting. They took my girlfriend's expensive dress for dry cleaning, and returned it shrunken and with the material ruined. They then denied responsibility ("We send it to an outside cleaner,") and instead of compensating me, they presented me with the laundry bill!! . After much argument, they said not paying that bill was all the compensation they would offer. As always, the tell-tale sign is not the mistakes a place makes, it's how they deal with the aftermath - dreadful.
