This hotel far exceeded our expectations! I was a little hesitant reading reviews saying it was outdated and with the hotel not being a well known brand. Everything was exquisite! We stayed 4 nights in a harbor view room overlooking Table Mountain. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff go above and beyond to help you and make sure you are enjoying your stay. The location is great. We felt extremely safe and the hotel is in walking distance to many restaurants and shops. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The hotel exceeded all our expectations. The personal touches, friendly staff, brilliant breakfasts, cocktails, good spa, waterfront access, fitness centre and location to name just a few, all contributed to a brilliant celebration long weekend. Our room (328) overlooked the harbour, waterfront to the right and table mountain in full view in the background. We pre-booked a stylist (easy and seamless pre-arranged access), flowers (perfect), champagne and some other personal touches - the hotel did not miss a beat. I have to single out every single member of the staff we had the privilege of interacting with. The hotel is most probably impacted by COVID, it does not show on the faces of staff. Absolutely professional, friendly and on point. We were treated like royalty. (By the way, check out Oscar’s base, royalty has stayed here before, so you know they know how.....) We will return, probably many times.

We were upgraded on arrival and the rest of our stay was wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and the bath rooms very modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delish. The hotel is well situated for traveling in Cape Town.

While COVID is no doubt putting pressure onto hotels, I find this hotel is starting to show it's age. Breakfast is well presented, considering, but not great by any extent, just OK, COVID can't be blamed for everything ... and at R4000 a night, certainly not good value.
