We absolutely loved this hotel. Its rooms were spacious and well accommodated. It was centrally located, walking distance from many great restaurants. Its gardens were sprawling and beautiful. Its gym was well equipped. Most importantly, it hosts the greatest High Tea in the world, which is an absolute MUST DO for anyone visiting Cape Town, let alone staying at this gorgeous hotel. We were so happy we chose to stay here on our honeymoon.

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel a lot. It is a classy and luxurious place. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The service is excellent but there were a few issues. For example there were no towels at pool (granted it is almost winter, but the pool is heated and so sone guests will use it). When I called to make sure towels were there the second time we wanted to enjoy pool, they still were not there. First night, turn down service never came. There are a lot of things that are not open due to Covid. Dining options were very limited. The room you eat breakfast in is gorgeous. Breakfast offerings are very generous.

High tea was fabulous, 5 star rooms. Best service I've seen with friendly staff, we felt like royalty. Very well located. Breakfast was very nice. Planet bar has a very nice vibe but some may find it rather expensive.

A must stay in Cape Town … the staff, the setting, the rooms, the food, the service is 100% even during a global pandemic. This was a business trip at the last minute 4 flights and 39+ hours after leaving JFK I arrived to a place that remembered my name from the moment I arrived to my farewell. This will be the one business trip I did not want to end … I will be back
