We enjoyed our stay at Cape Grace in Cape Town so much! It’s definitely our favorite hotel stay ever! Everything from the accommodations, the food, the staff was just perfection! The location near the waterfront made it so easy to have access to so much just by walking. The concierges handle everything from booking tours to transportation & everything in between. If you’re fortunate enough to consider this hotel, please book it! You will love every moment of your stay!
We just had an excellent experience after 4 nights at the Cape Grace. Below are the highlights. - Location: Perfect location just outside of the V&A waterfront area. Very walkable to many restaurants and shops. Felt very safe. - Service: Outstanding service and friendly attitudes by everyone. - Food: Breakfast is included and you order from a menu. Breakfast was always very good. We also ate dinner there one night, and it was good as well, with a limited menu. - Room: We stayed in the “Table Mountain Superior Room”. Room was a nice size and had a little couch, fridge and coffee maker. Nice big closet and bathroom. There was also a balcony with a side view of Table Mountain and of the marina. - Overall: Would definitely stay again.
The service at Cape Grace is consistently top notch. Although our room (220) could use a re-fresh, it was exceedingly comfortable with a wonderful view of Table Mountain and a lovely porch. It is perfect for the weary traveller. The breakfast is excellent. We very much appreciated the personal attention and graciousness of all the staff.
Part of Tauck Tour group - the room was spacious and except for the large ottoman at end of the bed (kept tripping on it) room was well appointed. Staff here was stupendous- we had a slight problem retrieving something at airport and they bent over backwards to help us even lining up a cab and instructed thedriver to stay with us at airport and bring us back. Great location near harbour, shopping and tourism area. Food in basement restaurant best quality and bargain - not thrilled with meals in upstairs (save for great breakfast)
We recently stayed three nights before moving on to Victoria Falls. The hotel was nicely appointed, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was terrific. Good location for the Victoria Alfred Wharf....very walkable.
My partner and I stayed here four nights, preceding and during a Tauck tour. Cape Grace is a gorgeous property, well-situated by the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The public areas are beautiful, with a great bar and restaurant. Our room had an amazing view of the marina and Table Mountain. Staff was wonderful - friendly and helpful. My partner's luggage was lost by the airline, and the staff constantly checked with the airport and airline. (Sadly, five weeks later we still haven't gotten any infirmation from the airline.) A member of our group felt under the weather the morning of our tour's excursion down the Cape. When she felt better, the hotel arranged a car and driver for her. Lots of great restaurants and shopping at the V&A Waterfront. Locals were lovely and friendly, and we always felt safe and well looked after. This is the place to stay in beautiful Cape Town.…
Amazing staff! Not a single flaw-everyone in this hotel was gracious and welcoming. The property is gorgeous, and it's in a very safe neighborhood with lots of shopping and nearby restaurants within easy walking distance. A great place to base an exploration of the area.
This was one of my favorite hotels in 50 years of traveling the world. Service was over the top, restaurant , concierge, room service all superior, not to mention one of the finest whiskey bars around. Waking up to the view of the harbor each morning was a treat. The walking distance to the waterfront markets (even had Starbuck's} was a welcome treat.
Beautiful hotel, great location to downtown and the waterfront, the staff are extremely helpful, I took advantage of the car service when available, the breakfast is very good, the rooms is amazing, very spacious, great for families
Stayed for 3 nights at the elegant, lovely and well-located Cape Grace. Our room decor was stunning with huge dressing room and bathroom as well. Staff was so helpful and friendly. They created a lovely welcome for our anniversary in the room. Made us feel like royalty! From the doormen to the concierge to the housekeeping to the dining staff, this service was top-notch. The hotel was extremely comfortable with safe surroundings on the waterfront where we walked. Restaurant was impressive with beautifully presented huge breakfasts and dinner. Our views of the waterfront were wonderful. Enjoyed the bunny decor for Easter and seeing the Easter Bunny! Would stay there again easily. It was a great point of departure for other areas surrounding Cape Town as well. The scotch/whiskey/other beverage bar in the hotel is a great place to go to chill and enjoy favorite drinks. The pool area is quite lovely with such a creative design. Stunning hotel.…
