Situated in the heart of Cape Town, the Queen Victoria Hotel welcomes guests to experience the very essence of distinguished luxury, where classic elegance meets contemporary design. Its prime location in a quiet, historic precinct near to the V&A Waterfront allows for a serene city escape as well as convenient access to a range of outstanding amenities. The hotel’s regal ambience is felt throughout the property, from its triple-volume foyer with a dramatic spiral staircase and glass lift, crystal chandeliers and marble finishes, to its spacious rooms and breathtaking suites. This grandeur, along with fine touches, expected of five-star properties, and hospitable service have earned the Queen Victoria, also referred to as the QV, recognition as one of the top 25 luxury hotels in South Africa. As its name suggests, this hotel truly is fit for royalty.

The Queen Victoria & Manor House is in an ideal location. The sister hotel to the popular V&A Waterfront hotel we transferred our stay here as this was more what we had expected for our last stay in Cape Town. The location is fantastic and we were able to enjoy breakfast both in the hotel but also at the V&A hotel. Located just a short walk from the main waterfront we were able to access all the amenities in a few moments walk which meant we could park the car at the hotel and enjoy exploring on foot. There is much to see and do at the waterfront including boat trips, helicopter tours and many many lovely restaurants. Our room in the Manor House was a mountain view suite. The waterfront is a busy area therefore there was noise however not so much that is caused disruption to our stay or sleep. The room was beautifully decorated and a great size. The bathroom had a beautiful freestanding bath. We used the laundry service in the hotel which was prompt and professional. At the bar before check in we enjoyed some bar bites and cocktails. The service was great and the food and drink very enjoyable. Order a few of the bar bites as some portions you only get 2 of each one - but they are perfect for sharing. We enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel - the mini quiches were delicious. Overall a beautiful stay with friendly staff who were happy to assist and share ideas for where to go.

We loved our stay at the Queen Victoria Hotel! It was very clean and housekeeping was twice a day which was amazing! The location was perfect as it's steps away from the Waterfront which is a great part of Cape Town - lots of restaurants and shops and feels very safe. The best thing about the hotel however was the staff - the entire team were so friendly and welcoming and every time we returned to the hotel after a long day, it was nice to have a chat with each of the staff who were so engaged and charming. Special shout out to Gwen who was particularly amazing - she really made our stay 5 star and treated us so well! We really enjoyed learning more about South Africa through conversations with the staff and everyone seemed up for sharing their precious histories and stories with us - incredibly generous! Please ask the reception staff to arrange a trip to Langa Township - we were anxious at first about visiting but it was one of the best things we did in Cape Town. It was truly an eye opening experience and we were so lucky that the hotel arranged everything for our convenience and safety. My only negative comment would be that the menu in the restaurant could be more interesting...there weren't any traditional Xhosa/South African dishes which was a shame. The burgers were good though! Thanks once again to Gwen and all the staff...we hope to come back soon!

We unfortunately had to delay our visit by 2 years, due to Covid and was so impressed that the hotel allowed us a credit for the original stay, which I think sums up their ethical way of doing business. The hotel location is spot on. Close to the V&A waterfront but a million miles away in style and quality. The staff are all excellent, the rooms are spacious and the hotel is "special". A highlight was the manor house with pool and garden area.

Comfortable and welcoming with a great location for the V&A waterfront. I spent 3 nights here at the beginning of my trip and it set the bar high. Really comfortable rooms, with friendly and welcoming staff. Nice breakfast offering also and walkable to the waterfront

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was one of the highlights of the trip. As soon as we entered the room we were stunned by how beautiful and massive it was. We had a view of table mountain, bed was comfy, and bathroom was fantastic. The breakfast served each morning was also amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful - we’ve booked to go back already!

This hotel has the perfect location of being directly opposite the V & A Waterfront. The Harbour and mountain views are spectacular especially at night when Cape Towns city lights illuminate. Rooms are spacious , clean and sophisticated in decor. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel or at their sister hotel located at the Waterfront facing the Harbour. Comfy bed, quality amenities and overall good value for money. Happy with this Newmark experience.

This hotel is definitely more like a 5star hotel instead of a 4 star. Everything was amazing. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly. The service was impeccable. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect. I cant wait to come back.

I wanted to give high rating for this hotel, but we had very unusual circumstances due to the new COVID omicron new stain. We initially booked for 5 nights, but in next day, Saudi embassy has informed us to be in johanzberg before 7, for the evacuation on 8 or 9 or 10 So we spoke the hotel reception, to cancel the rest of the nights and refund our money back, they said it is not refundable! What about this situation, every thing is uncertain, flights were cancelled and we had no choice but to book the stay on this hotel. We came in group, 34 travelers, some had there flights on 5 and 6 so they booked and paid only for 2 nights, unfortunately, for us the our flight is on 9th therefore we booked until 9th and paid full expense in front. I requested to talk with the manager since Saturday, they said she will come on Monday, and until this moment we couldn’t speak to her or any one from hotel management. Thank you
