This is a hard review to write because we are great fans of the Maremoto restaurant. The Hotel is lovely as far as the accommodations. Nicely appointed and totally central as far as Long Street however the noise is horrible We are not in the age range that wants to be on Long Street until closing time so trying to... More

A friend of our's found this gem right in the middle of Cape Town city centre on the funky Long Street! Wow, we were more than impressed! Such a gorgeous old building transformed into a boutique hotel with modern touches but definitely keeping old world charm. Our rooms were perfectly sized with a generous bed, ample pillows (which to me... More

Just stayed 4 days at this lovely and funky hotel-Janice and her wonderful staff prepared the greatest meals at affordable prices.Room 105 is the best as you have your own deck with a full view of Table Mountain. Long Street is where it's all happening-a little noisy from the pubs along the street, but the staff leaves a pair of... More

Small, cute and quaint little hotel in the city center. Hotel has a restaurant downstairs and upstairs rooms. We had a very nice room in the attic. Comfortable, clean with a terrace. From what I remember, the restaurant did not use, because it was open at inconvenient times of the day for us. The hotel has a few rooms. Excellent... More

Never again. Spoilt a 30th birthday, by closing the bar just after 10pm, after promising to stay open past midnight. The food bill was paid at 10pm. So she sent everybody out on to the street. Rude manageress, marching up and down. Food terrible Promised outside patio for smoking, but it was booked out to another party. Had to smoke... More

“I stayed in two rooms No7 super bathroom/bedlinen and No 5 with outside terrace -good for smoking my cigars !”

“Room 5 (i think it is ) has a balcony with 2 sunloungers and umbrella and table which is nice, and view of Table Mountain. The larger room has a gorgeous bathroom with Victorian bath! Not sure what the room number was, but it does overlook Long Street, so might be a bit noiser than the other rooms.”
