This was our first stop on our South African honeymoon - we spent two quick nights at MannaBay during our time in CPT, though wish we could've spent much more time there! The hotel is amazing - location is one-of-a-kind up on the mountain, and the hotel itself is unique with each room having its own theme. Staff was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating with things like arranging a car, recommending dinner spots, etc. Breakfast and tea time snacks were delicious. Only regrets were that we couldn't stay longer this time around and that the weather wasn't warm enough for us to enjoy the pool.
This hotel is absolutely perfect. It's close to everything (very short cab/uber rides anywhere you want to go), and has a stunning view of both the mountains and the ocean. It is beautiful, clean, and the inside of the hotel makes you feel like a millionaire art collector. The staff is amazingly responsive, and the food is great. Breakfast and afternoon tea are truly special and were highlights of our honeymoon. I would recommend it to any of my good friends or family.
This was an absolutely stellar experience. William and the team at Manna Bay made us feel as though we had just arrived at our home away from home from the moment we arrived. No request was too small and their kindness, warmth, and hospitality has left us longing to go back. The hotel itself is quirky and filled with character that truly makes you feel as though you are somewhere unique and special! It is the perfect way to be close to it all but removed enough to chill and enjoy all Cape Town has to offer. The views of Table Mountain and the city are surreal! We met some amazing people who make a pilgrimage to the MannaBay from the UK every year, and now we may do the same! Go forth and book and send Manna Bay our love!
This was my 2nd visit to MannaBay, this time for our wedding anniversary and if I thought it couldn't get better, it absolutely did. From the moment we were greeted on arrival by Gracia, we were treated in a very friendly yet professional way. Every need was effortlessly taken care of. A special touch was the bottle of champagne and welcome platter with handwritten notes wishing us for our anniversary. Each room is decorated with a different theme and this time we stayed in the Versailles room which is quite fabulous with it's beautiful decor, seperate dressing room / library and large bathroom. The private balcony with an outside bed was the cherry on the top and because we had perfect weather, we were able to sleep outside under the stars. The high tea was absolutely sublime and caters equally for sweet or savoury tastes. We just did not want to leave our gorgeous room and decided to order in. William, the butler, offered to set up a table in our room but we managed without it and spent a spectacular evening watching live performances on yourtube of Andrea Bocelli on our big smartscreen t.v, whilst looking at the twinkling stars of the city below us. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, with fresh fruit and homemade museli, cured meats and cheeses, followed by a hot breakfast of our choice cooked to order. There were delectable pastries on offer as well. We wished we could've stayed a few days in order to laze by the pool and soak up the sun. This is a place to totally unwind and relax in the most spectacular surroundings, with Table Mountain as your backdrop and views of both Lions Head and Signal hill and Cape Town below.…
Absolutely excellent location at the foot of Table Mountain. Small intimate guest house with incredible staff. Everyone treated us with the hospitality of good friends. High tea was a treat between meals to ensure we didnt go hungry. A healthy feast. We stayed in the oriental room, beautifully decorated with panoramic views of Cape Town.
