I stayed at the Taj for a week during a work retreat, and I was more than impressed with the level of hospitality that was a part of every experience of my day. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff was knowledgeable and extraordinarily friendly... I found that everyone I spoke with was joyful and cheerfully willing to guide me in the right direction and help me out... On my way out, they even gave me a sweet goodie bag with some travel essentials, and I was taken aback by the generous gesture... The staff was even willing to walk me next door to one of their adjacent locations, so I would not have to walk alone outside, and I did not even have to ask for them to accompany me... I 10/10 recommend staying here as a guest!...

We booked a one bedroom suite with executive acess for 2 nights... Sharon at the club lounge was dedicated to offer the best service... Took 30mins to be served and the bread itself was stale!... For Breakfast lots of variety to suit all tastes and fresh products and an ' a la carte menu' As our flight was at night, we asked for a complimentary late check out which is one of the previledges offered to TIC members... The concierge staff were always ready to help with a very polite attitude...

...We had an early flight when arriving but it wasn't a problem and from meeting Jade at reception, he went out of his way to help and give advice, he even chatted to us when for was off duty on the hoho bus and tried to sort out our sim. The hotel is well located for the shopping area, the hop on, hop off bus and local bus stops which we used frequently without any problems... The shuttle bus wasn't operating in November but it was easy to get to the V&A on the bus or Uber... Staff are very friendly and ask about your day ahead, special thanks to Candice who always made time in the dining room to speak and make sure we were happy... In entry you are greeted by cheerful and helpful porters... We arrived too early to check in so was ushered to the spa where we were able to shower and start our first day in comfort... We spoke with the concierge who gave us tips of where to go... We were given tips on where to go for the best experiences... You must visit the Waterfront (take a cruise if that’s your thing - we loved it) and a must do visit ‘Gold’ restaurant which offers the best African entertainment... The hotel room was spacious, comfortable and clean and stylish... The hotel hosts a sauna, swimming pool and gym; with a full spa facilities...

My entire 10 day stay at the TAJ was nothing but incredible. From the first walk into lobby an eager staff pleasant and friendly ready to welcome and assist with anything... Every single day a welcoming staff from restaurant, concierge, and rep front desk nothing but pleasant with a smile... The bellman are now our friends in that they call us by name and smiles...

...Always a great experience and very friendly staff. They are so helpful at check-in and the service overall is great... Loved the spa, and the service at the Spa also very good... The facilities and location are great and easy to travel anywhere in CT from the hotel...

We booked a one bedroom suite with executive acess for 2 nights... Upgrade fee was charged despite being Taj InnerCircle(TIC) members... The room was perfect - luxurious, very comfortable spotless... Sharon at the club lounge was dedicated to offer the best service... The spa is also very nice with a steam room and a jacuzzi... The gym area is great too with an indoor heated pool and a sauna... For Breakfast lots of variety to suit all tastes and fresh products and an ' a la carte menu' As our flight was at night, we asked for a complimentary late check out which is one of the previledges offered to TIC members... The concierge staff were always ready to help with a very polite attitude...

...The hotel is well located for the shopping area, the hop on, hop off bus and local bus stops which we used frequently without any problems. The shuttle bus wasn't operating in November but it was easy to get to the V&A on the bus or Uber... The guys on the door are very helpful in making sure you jump in the right taxi and have good local knowledge regarding places to eat... The breakfast buffet was excellent every day and the items to order were plentiful, we didn't get fed up with the variety on offer in two weeks!... Staff are very friendly and ask about your day ahead, special thanks to Candice who always made time in the dining room to speak and make sure we were happy... Spoiling my husband on his birthday with a lovely cake was also very thoughtful... In addition, we were going whale watching and being picked up at 6.30am so Candice made sure we could enjoy a cooked breakfast earlier than the opening time of the buffet, so thanks to the chef too... In fact, everyone was great, the hotel was clean and the view of Table Mountain from our bed was great... Go for a room in the new block with a Table Mountain view which includes a small balcony and you won't be disappointed... You can hear singing from Desmond Tutu's church across the road at times and see traditional dancing under his arch which is great but never intrusive... Drinks in the hotel were very reasonable for a 5 star hotel and the bar staff were also very attentive...

It seems to us that the Taj Cape Town is a real bargain. It has a prime location, excellent service and good food... Breakfasts, in particular, are great, with a wide variety of high quality options...
