The Grand Daddy is a luxury four-star city hotel with an effervescent, creative soul. Generous, warm and welcoming; The Grand Daddy’s passion is for people. The Grand Daddy’s big talking point is its ‘penthouse’ trailer park, where a collection of vintage Airstream caravans nestle beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain. Each of the 7 two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other.

I stayed in one of the offered airtrailers at the Grand Daddy Hotel which was a real experience, something one does not encounter often. The airtrailer was clean and neat and although slightly cramped, it served its purpose comfortably. The breakfast was good, fresh

I met up with a mate of mine for drinks at the bar within the hotel on a work trip, the whole vibe was amazing! When we getting ready to leave, being a newby to Cape Town was unaware that you could use card to pay for parking along the side of the roads, searched for an ATM, to

We have a saying in Afrikaans "seker nie ver nie" which roughly translates to "on your door step". One is so quick to think you need to look for "something different" anywhere but in your immediate surrounds. But hubby and I have decided to explore more on the home front and

My folks and I stayed at the Grand Daddy and we absolutely loved it! It’s quirky and fun, almost like stepping onto the set of a movie. The sunny rooftop bar is decked out with silver stream caravans (which you can stay in!) is fantastic, great vibe. The rooms are sunny and

Dear Deepak G, Thank you for your enquiry. The Grand Daddy Hotel was built in the late 1800's, and therefore does not have onsite parking. However, we have an affiliation with a parkade nearby, and the parking fee will be refunded to you by the hotel. Regards, Brenda Campbell General Manager.

I think when they say Full they mean King, We stayed in one of the rooftop airstream trailers and it was definitely King, maybe email them directly just to be sure

Our room was great on the top floor (just under bar) and no noise issues - room was spacious but hotel was compact and maybe seen as a little child unfriendly (we only had one 2yr old boy travelling with our group and didn't notice any other kids while there). Breakfast was yum and the staff were lovely and accommodating. A bit more of a trendy boutique hotel than a family friendly one I'd say.
