Nothing bad to say about this place really. It was lovely and clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely. It was just a bit too cosy for our family of four. When it was a bit cold we has to sit inside at the kitchen table as there is no living area. Not that we are

Our second stay at this 'resort', we booked a self catering one bedroom apartment (BC 23) with a lovely balcony overlooking the Camps Bay beach. We were very happy with our apartment, it was spacious with everything we needed for our short stay. Nice king-size comfy bed with

Normally I would not write a bad review on Tripadvisor (see my other reviews), but this time I feel it is my duty to warn fellow travelers. We discussed the items below, but without any result. On arrival we were checked in at the chaotic reception with uninterested staff that

Dear Mr de Boer Thank you for taking the time to highlight the points which you found unacceptable at Camps Bay Village. To address the very first point mentioned in your review, I had discussed this matter with you personally, that there was no request made to Camps Bay Village for a cot to be provided. There was a miscommunication at some point when reserving your accommodation by the agents, and no request was received by Camps Bay Village, we were not informed of your cot request. The front desk staff contacted every hotel within close proximity and regrettably, no additional cots were available. Our Village had provided 6 resident families with cots, therefore we did not have an additional cot to offer you. I assure you that we tried our best to secure a cot upon your arrival. The first indication received of your personal quest to procure a cot, was a message conveyed by the reception team, which you requested to be sent, that you wish for a full cash refund from the manager for the cot you had purchased the day prior. I personally called your apartment that Saturday, several times, in an effort to resolve the matter, but unfortunately to no avail. The most unfortunate experience of a geyser burst in the apartment located on the floor directly above your apartment, led me to personally meet you at your apartment to discuss the options available to you, once the severity of the water leak was assessed. I met you 4 times that afternoon, providing feedback, options and assistance. Our Group Residential Operations Manager met you and your wife at the time of the leak, to personally apologise for the dreadful situation at hand. After meeting with you, it became our aim to ensure that the last 2 nights of your stay in South Africa to be made as comfortable as possible. With our Group Residential Operations Manager’s support, it was arranged for your family to be upgraded from a self-catering apartment, to our luxurious sister hotel, The Bay Hotel, for 2 nights, with breakfast included. A complimentary welcome platter of cheeses was delivered to your suite upon your arrival and I personally arranged for The Bay Hotel to dry all your wet clothing items, at no fee. This was happily accepted by you and your wife, whereby you continued to separate the wet items from the dry items, to allow for this service to be made use of. In terms of assistance, 4 of our housekeeping staff, supported by their supervisor, assisted to move your luggage from inside the apartment, to the space where you indicated you wished to sort your luggage. We provided man power and packing materials to assist you. As for your baby cot, I personally offered you various options of compensation and your decision was to settle for the refund to be effected via international bank transfer. I informed you that the South African ground handler would have to assist with the financial transactions, effecting payments to your agent in the Netherlands, which would cause a time delay. With regards to the communication of the refund of the cot, it was relayed to me from the agents involved, that the matter was being addressed by their respective financial departments. I apologise for the delay in funds being effected to your account, however, the matter was rectified promptly and personally I am terribly sorry that you endured such discomfort as a result of the burst geyser, however, I am most disappointed that you have made images of the drenched apartment available to the public. A burst geyser resulting in a tremendous water leak, is not the norm at Camps Bay Village. This is not a true reflection of the apartment which you checked into, or the manner in which our apartments are prepared for our resident guests. I do appreciate and respect your feedback, however I urge you to maintain a fair approach in turn. Should you wish to take the matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me. Wishing you and your family a prosperous 2019 Warm regards Heidi at Camps Bay Village

Super comfy beds .. very comfortable accomodation with small pool very close to the beach. Usually with rates lower mid week this is a great option. Also you can use a small pool at the Bay Hotel nearby but sunbeds need to be booked ...and the beds are literally an inch apart.
