The POD hotel may just be the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Many high-end hotels have great rooms and while the rooms at POD are delightful, that's not what makes the place off-the-scale. It's the service. I think the service is simply unparalleled. I'd put it above even places like the Four Seasons hotels in global capitals around the world. I'll be back and cannot recommend it highly enough. And FWIW, I almost never write reviews.

Hotel's Favorite
This was an amazing place to stay. I don't even know where to begin. The staff was definitely one of the friendliest and most welcoming. They made our stay so pleasant. Everything you may need is provided and included in the room. The pool and restaurant are an oasis of calm. We had a very nice breakfast and when we were too tired to go out for lunch they even organized food to be brought and plated in-house for us. My only complaint is that I could not stay longer.

Great location for easy access to the beach and Camps Bay restaurants. Quietly off the beaten path, but not so far that you feel unsafe. We stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. We were impressed with the customer service of the front desk. Shamima was so helpful to us and even called and got us into a restaurant that is usually very hard to get into. The breakfast was a major highlight, with fresh fruit and juice every day, and great wait staff. We enjoyed watching the sun set over the water from the pool deck.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing location. You have front view of the sunset and the beach without sacrificing privacy. It’s a couple of blocks away from the hustle and bustle but far enough to allow you to enjoy peace and quiet. Rooms are very zen/modern/minimalist. Our room in particular had a massive terrace where you can watch the sunset as you sip some cocktails or the free wine which they replenish your mini bar with on a daily basis. Staff are so hospitable and helpful. They would bend over backwards to help you and cater to your needs. The hotel is small enough that they are able to maintain that personal touch but they have all the facilities/amenities that you would want from the bigger hotels. They don’t serve food other than for breakfast but with all the restaurants just a stone’s throw away, it really doesn’t matter :). The cocktail bar runs all day and can make almost any cocktail one can think of.…

Wonderful hotel, very convenient for Camps Bay. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. Rooms were lovely and clean and everything we needed had been thought of and provided. Slightly noisy from traffic but we were in a city. Would definitely recommend.

This is our return trip to Cape Town. After escaping a little under the USA closed for COVID. We returned to the POD Hotel on this occasion and were not disappointed. The staff is great and helpful. It is an intimate small hotel. Not in the city but in camps bay. You here and see the ocean. It is a great place to stay

Came here from London with a few mates first week of Feb 2023. Super chilled, well appointed hotel a stones throw from the beach and all the bars and restaurants along the seafront in Camps Bay. Great bar/pool area to enjoy drinks, food and sunbathe. Very tidy, modern rooms with all the amenities you would expect. Being quite small it never felt overcrowded so always space to grab a table or sit together on the sun loungers. Staff were excellent, always friendly, accommodating, helpful in recommending places to go, organising taxis and our wine tour. Also pretty tolerant if you came back late after having a few! Can’t recommend enough.

My husband and I stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon, and I am hesitant to write such a glowing review for fear that this place will be booked into eternity! However, the staff at POD deserve this review. The entire staff at the hotel went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable, making us feel like we were family during our stay. Even before we arrived, the staff was extremely responsive & helpful via email and assisted us with planning excursions off the hotel grounds and providing recommendations. The room was lovely, and freshly restocked every day with toiletries and snacks to help make us comfortable. The gym was small but met our needs, and was never out of stock of water. The complimentary breakfast was divine, the location was superb, but what truly makes this place special is the staff who go above & beyond to ensure you are comfortable & happy.
