I was staying in South Africa for some time and wanted to spend some time on safari. I chose this lodge and certainly haven't regretted it. Jarrod the ranger was brilliant, my room was nice (I saw a fair amount of animals when i was laid in bed) and the drives were amazingly successful. I have to say if you're... More

The place is wonderful. We took one of the drivers and a safari bus. Saw the different animals. You can also take your own vehicule ans drive in. Sun city is not far off. So you can easily reach. Food was good at rhe resto. Absolutely enjoyable

I can't praise the staff at Pilanesberg Private Lodge enough! They organised my group of 14 across 2 different lodges, feeding us and sorting out our transport to and from the lodge. Everyone keeps saying what a great time they had. The Brits all say it's one of the best times they have ever had! It was such a wonderful... More

The lodge is one of the cheapest in the Black Rhino Reserve. Fine rooms and bed and a quiet location. Food average. Why should you pay more? The game viewing is the same for everyone. The first day we had luck with the game. The second day was more difficult. Of course you never know what you will come across... More

Very friendly welcome. Food was great, a young chef who should be proud of himself. We had 2 really great trips out and saw 2 lions hunting buffalo on the 2nd outing in the early morning. The lodge was very comfortable, goodnights sleep kin a very comfortable bed. It was a short stay but really enjoyed it.

We stayed for three nights, went on all early morning and early evening safaris, saw a lot of game, a group of lions, two giraffes, a leopard, a number of baboons and hyenas and herds of elephants; our competent wildlife-guide made us well aware of African flora and fauna and in spite of his 72-hour shift was more than ready... Fantastic experience in such incredible place. The lodge is in the Black Rhino Reserve in the Pilanesberg National Park and it is ideal for having a total immersion in the "Bush". Nature, animals, earth and sky is all around you. The rooms are big and fully equipped. Rich African food and delicious South-African wine. The Staff is so gentle and... More

This lodge left a big impression on us, with only 5 rooms available it's a very personal feeling/experience. Everything was just perfect, from the service to the food, from the game drives to the luxurious rooms. Also the typical boma dining area was great. Everything was there to make our stay unforgettable. We had such a nice time at this... More

We travelled to PPL as a family of five (two couples and two adult children). The accomodations perfectly fit our expectations. The private chalets were clean, well-appointed, and had a great "safari" atmosphere. Our ranger Jeandré was the perfect guide: extremely knowledgable, open to all our questions - he took us to see the most exeptional wild life. As we... More
